    Level C+, 13-14 mph, 40-50 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:15 am. Frequently we ride to Ambler but we may ride to other locations such as North Wales or Devon.     Level B - B-, 15 mph, 100+ miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 7:15 am. It's October 2, what better day to pedal the route of the SSC ride. We'll leave the Italian Fountain at 7:15 SHARP. No cue sheet will be provided. We will meet up with Jeff Bakely and Frank Hogeland's ride at Wentz Park. We will have some deviations from the exact century route due to food/water stops and construction, etc. This B ride will regroup only as necessary. Please meet a few minutes before 7:15 so that we can sign in and roll out in time to meet the 9am ride. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Sun October 2, 2011 - Adopt-AHighway road clean-up (ad-hoc ride)

    Level walking, 2 mph, 0.5 miles. the first parking lot after crossing the covered bridge where PA 252 intersects Yellow Springs rd. in VFNHP. . The ride leaves at 9:00 am. This is the last clean-up for the year. Please come out and join the crew. We would love to see you! And you will feel the better for doing it. The clean-up lasts about one hour. We assign teams of two to cover each of the four sections. We drive the teams to the various sections. We walk along Yellow Springs rd. and pick up by hand. We seldom find much trash. It is a well maintained road, much loved by cyclists. Perhaps you have ridden it, recently. You don't need to bring anything, just yourself and maybe a friend. We have gloves, bags and vests for everyone. Get back to a leader, if you need more info. If you are going to join us, we need advance confirmation.So, please preregister. No incentives or bike ride, this time, but you will feel the better for helping. Optional drive to breakfast afterward. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level C+, 13+/- mph, 60+/- miles. Wentz Run Park. Enter on Anvil Lane from Wentz Rd, near Skippack Pike. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. We will do about 60 miles of the outer portion of the Scenic Schuylkill Century, with modifications for a couple of convenience store or restaurant stops. Brings snacks and plenty of water. Parts of the ride are fairly hilly. We will have copies of the SSC 100 cue sheet available, but not the modiifications.

    Level C+/B-, 9-12 miles. Meet at Pennypack Park Pine Rd. entrance. The ride leaves at 6:30 pm. Come enjoy the great outdoors (without cars) after dark! Lights and a trail permit are required (go to www.fairmountpark.org/TrailPermits.asp to purchase a permit). We ride off-road on dirt trails for approximately 1-1/2 hours. Depending on the predicted weather and/or trail conditions, the ride may be cancelled or rescheduled for another evening. Additionally, the ride will occasionally take place at Wissahickon Park.     Wed October 5, 2011 - Conshohocken to Philly Art Museum "Night Lights" Road Bike Ride

    Level C thru A, 12-18 mph, 27 miles. SEPTA lot at E. Elm and Harry St. in Conshohocken, PA; primary parking lot is the Marriot Parking lot across the train tracks from the SEPTA lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. This is a "road bike" ride that requires a strong front headlight and a rear tail light. We have 3 different groups (C, B and B+) which ride between 12 and 18 mph. We typically get @ 25 riders on warm nights. We meet 6pm at Marriot hotel /SEPTA parking lot across the railroad tracks at E. Elm and Hector St. in Conshohocken, PA. We leave the lot 6:15 sharp and head to the Philly Art Museum area via Roxboro, Manyunk and East Falls. We take a short 5 minute bathroom/snack break at Lloyd Hall before returning to Conshohocken by 8:30. Q sheets provided for slower or faster riders.Rain or starting temp. below 40F cancels the ride

    Level C but ( A,B,C ), 12 mph, 60 miles. The Rocky Satue in front of the Phila Art Museum. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Heading out the Mainline to Darby-Paoli Rd, to Church Rd, to Sugartown Rd. Our destination is the Paoli Memorial Park in Malvern where there is a revolutionary war memorial. Won't stop there long because of the distance needed to cover this day. Lunch will be down the hill at US 1 and ST 29 where there is a Wegman's store to buy food. Return route will be what I call the upper route - Yellow Springs Rd and Valley Forge Park. We will ease on down the Schuylkill River Trail back to Philly. Note ride level: A distance, B hills, C pace. Rain one hour before start cancels the ride. This C ride takes a day! Back around 5 PM maybe earlier but no promises! Cue sheets will not be available.

    Sat October 8, 2011 - Ringoes to Oldwick (ad-hoc ride)

    Level B, 14 mph, 62 miles. East Amwell Elementary School on Wertsville road in Ringoes, NJ. The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Starting from Ringoes, NJ, this ride will be a tour of northern Hunterdon County. There will be a quick water stop at mile 30 at a country store, followed by a sit-down lunch at mile 40 at the Oldwick Country Store, which features indoor and outdoor seating. After lunch, it will be 22 miles back to the cars. The terrain on this ride is mostly lightly rolling, with the exception of a steep one-mile climb at mile 31, followed by a glorious 4-5 mile gentle descent along a wooded (and hopefully colorful) creek valley. To get to the East Amwell School, follow Route 202 north into NJ. After passing through the toll booth at the Delaware River, stay on Route 202 north exactly 6 miles, to the first traffic light.     Sat October 15, 2011 - Collegeville Dinner along the Perkiomen Creek Trail

    Level D, 10 mph, 70 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Let's do one last long D ride! All flat or slightly up hill along the Schuylkill River Trail and the Perkiomen Creek Trail. What more can you want in ease than trail riding, just be aware that the Manayunk Canal Tow path is boardwalk and dirt with one walk up the cobblestone road, the main section of the SRT is paved but the Perkiomen Trial becomes gravel two miles north of its start at Oaks. The Collegeville Dinner is right on the trail. 70 miles is an estimate most likely a little less. Come do the distance, All day ride. Cue sheets will not be available.

Very scenic ride thru the backroads of Hunterdon County,NJ. Slow climb up to the ridge overlooking the Delaware River to the Round Valley Reserviour where we'll have lunch. .Shorter,slower 40 mile C/C+ group will head to Flemington,NJ. Rain cancels the ride. We typically get @ 25 riders on warm nights. We meet 6pm at Marriot hotel /SEPTA parking lot across the railroad tracks at E. Elm and Hector St. in Conshohocken, PA. I dusted off an old cue sheet of mine that runs parrellel to the Delaware River to Morrisville, Pa. From there we cross to Trenton and through all the small towns next to the river from Bordentown to Palmyra and return to the city via the Tacony/Palmyra Bridge. Lunch stop planned for Burlington.
