AVOIDING THE SEVERE SUMMER HEAT -- SCHEDULE CHANGE
Attention, Members:
Due to persistently extreme heat and humidity, the Sunny Sunday D ride, normally scheduled for 12 noon, will leave at 10:00am during August and September, in order to avoid riding in severe afternoon heat. OTHER CLUB RIDES may also be scheduled earlier, in order to beat the heat -- please refer to the Rides Calendar to confirm starting times, and to check for heat-related updates and/or modifications from Ride Leaders, e.g., shorter distance, fewer hills, etc. These updates are determined for the safety and well-being of our riders.

IMPORTANT NOTE for all members: Due to record-breaking heat & humidity, PLEASE take extra care of yourself if you are cycling (or doing any other outdoor physical activity). Please bring plenty of fluids, and pay attention to how you are feeling, physically and mentally. If possible, please try to ride on shaded roads. If you feel ill, faint or woozy, please stop your activity and call for help
