Towards Doylestown
Credit: Jeff Bakely, see his cue sheets for a versions of this that
starts directly from the Art Museum. Maps: SEPTA blue works great (all
roads are on it, though a couple do not have the names written).
Get out to Ambler using your favorite method -- look to 5 Points Ride
or QCW Ambler Ride, or try this: start out with the 5 Points ride,
but when you get to Henry, just stay on it. Henry will merge with
Ridge. R Joshua from Ridge, L Stenton, R Sheaff, L Morris, R

Once you get to Ridge, there are several ways back. Here are my 2 faves:
Alternative 1 (the easy way down):
X Ridge to Harts La
R Barren Hill
L River Rd (may not be marked) at bottom of hill
go up little hill, go down hill; just after the railings
end is a small opening on the R to the bike path, go L on path
Alternative 2 (absolutely beautiful road, but have to go on Ridge a bit):
L Ridge
R Manor at stop light (right nest to golf course)
go down big hill
at bottom of big hill, just before you get to RR station,
you go under a little bridge. The bike path goes over this bridge.
There's a tiny path to your R just after you go under the bridge.
take this path up to the bike path
take bike path back to Philly (see "Bike Path to Valley Forge" cue)
