Northern Camden County Ride

Credit: Peter Rosenfeld for nice suggestions (dino stop, Walt Whitman's grave). Maps: ADC map or Camden County Map. One problem here is getting over the Ben Franklin Bridge. There are walkways along it on both the north and south sides. Only one is open at a time, and I don't know their scheme for determining which to open. I'll give directions for both, so if you know, you can use the right one. If you don't know, pick one, and there's a pedestrian underpass so you an get to the other.

start at Art Museum
go up Kelly Drive

QR Pennsylvania Ave 
L Spring Garden
to use north walkway:
   R 6th, stay on L side of road
   X Callowhill, go under highway bridge
   1st L little road into parking lot
   1st R (careful -- wrong way on 1-way st), loop L around bldg
   come to 5th St. There are two branches, X 1st one, R onto second
       one, careful: again, you're going wrong way on 1-way street
   get onto North walkway on bridge
   X Delaware R
   after stairs, go to street, continue in the direction you were going
   take 1st L 
   1st R Pearl St
   R at T 7th, go over bridge
   bec Haddon Ave
to use south walkway
   R 8th
   L Race St
   at 5th there's a car entry to the bridge. Get on the sidewalk here,
      and it takes you to the walkway
   when you get off the stairs, you're on Pearl
   continue in the direction you were going (east)

   R Haddon (at big int, just after gas station -- Texaco?)
go under 676

go wrong way on 1-way near school

go S onto bike path when road takes sharp L;
   when parking lot comes close to bike path,
   turn L, cross parking lot to road, R road (N Park again)
