    Level C+ and B, 13-14 and 14-16 mph, 20-30+ miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 5:45 pm. Meet at 5:30 for a prompt start (Sept. start time is 5:45). Note that there aren't any bathroom facilities. We offer 2 paces on a variety of routes on relatively lightly traveled roads. Most will have some hills. Distance will vary with the pace and available daylight. Please bring a rear light for use at dusk, and preferably a front light too. Will regroup as needed, but please be prepared to maintain the ride's advertised pace. Check day of the ride for possible changes or cancellations (rain cancels), and if a certain pace is not available. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level B-/C+, 13.5-15 mph, 25-30 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 5:45 pm. PLEASE NOTE EARLIER 5:45 SEPTEMBER START A moderately hilly ride conquering 3 Main Line hills that regroups at the top of each climb. As the days lengthen, so does the ride and we should be nearing 30 miles by July. No riders doing the listed pace will be dropped. 50% chance of rain between 6:00 and 8:00 cancels the ride Cue sheets will not be available.

    Thu September 1, 2016 - "C"vilized Thursday Night Hill Ride NOTE EARLIER START TIME

    Level C, 10-13 mph, 22 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 5:45 pm. A slower "C" level version of the Thursday night hill ride, we will climb the hills of Gladwyne using Tom Witt's route. We will start earlier and shorten the route to return by sunset. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level C+/B-, 13-15 mph, various miles. north Penn High School - meet behind the school near the bus depot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Thursday evening C+/B- ride from North Penn High School. We will meet at 6pm every Tuesday evening through the end of September. The rides will begin the season at 13-14mph and increase to occasional 15-16mph rides as the season slowly progresses. The riding distance is determined by the amount of sunlight. Come on out and discover new roads and routes. We never repeat a route during a single season. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level D/D+/C-, 9-12 mph, 15-28 miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the stresses of the workday, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Pedal away the stresses of the workday at a relaxed pace. We'll be meeting in the same parking lot as the "Multi-Level Conshohocken Rides". We'll start by riding on the Schuylkill River Trail, and/or, the Cross County Trail, which connects the Schuylkill with Plymouth Meeting . As riders get stronger, we can turn off the trails and explore some pretty roads in the area. Please bring lights in case we return close to dark. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Fri September 2, 2016 - Friday Frolic - Wentz Run Park to Java's Brewin' in Limerick/Royersford for LIVE MUSIC & smoothies at lunch Return via newly re-opened Arcola Rd Bridge. Mini-tailgate party at the finish.

    Level B-/C+, 13-15 mph, 57 miles. Wentz Run Park - Wentz Rd and Anvil Lane, behing the Whitpain Township Admin Bldg. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. 9/2: Wentz Run Park in Whitpain Township to java's Brewin' in Limerick/Royersford for lunch. Guitarist/singer John Anthony Seitz will be performing there live at lunch. John's got a smooth sound, and his fans are growing in numbers. On the outbound, we have optional quick rest breaks if needed at mile 17 or mile 21. Sit-down lunch stop at Java's Brewin' is at mile 36. On the return from lunch, we'll cross the newly re-opened Arcola Rd Bridge. There is a Wawa stop if needed at mile 49. Total elevation gain 3123 feet. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check the daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map will be provided for each ride. Scheduled for virtually every Friday throughout the year, with a few exceptions here & there. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk (on foot).     Level B+, 16-17 mph, 40-55 miles. Main Line Cycles front of shop 919 Montgomery Ave. The ride leaves at 8:05 am. Great roads with low traffic. We have a few routes that bring us out around or through Ridley Creek State Park. Average speed will be 16-17 mph, but note that these routes include over 4000' of climbing. Bring a snack for a brief mid-ride break. Consider the on-line routes approximate. Leave by 8:05 AM. Rain cancels. Cue sheets will not be available.     Sat September 3, 2016 - Frenchtown to Merrill Creek Reservoir Challenge. CARPOOLING AVAILABLE

    Level B-, 13-15 mph, 63 miles. Frenchtown - parking lot just below Bridge St, between river and Canal Trail. The ride leaves at 8:30 am. Hilly but pretty loop through Warren and Hunterdon Counties, NJ, to the scenic Merrill Creek Reservoir. This route includes a couple of 400-ft climbs, and one 640-ft climb, but the vistas from the summits are magnificent. We'll be riding mostly on quiet and shaded country roads, but also passing through the quaint towns of Milford, Riegelsville, Stewartsville, and Bloomsbury. Initial and final stretches of the route, along River Road, are flat. The challenging hills section, ~10 miles of climbing, is in the middle. Total elevation gain is 5100 ft, but we will stop to regroup as needed. Food stops at mile 24 in Stewartvsille (before climbing to the Reservoir), and at mile 46 in Bloomsbury. (We'll also have a brief photo/scenery stop at the spectacular Reservoir at mile 31.) From the food stop in Bloomsbury, we'll descend to the village of Little York, then return to Milford and Frenchtown via downhill-to-flat roads. CARPOOLING: LMc is available to meet for car-pooling at 7:00 at a mutually convenient location in NE Phila. or eastern Montgomery County.     Sat September 3, 2016 - Riverton, NJ

    Level D , 10 mph, 25 miles. Penn Treaty Park, Delaware Ave and Beach St . The ride leaves at 9:00 am. The real destination for this ride is Palmyra Cove Nature Park but first I want to get a good cup of coffee at the Orange Blossom Bakery and Cafe in Riverton, NJ. Experience the contrast between the mid-nineteenth centry Philadelphia, PA industrial waterfront with the Victorian waterfront of Riverton, NJ. Palmyra Cove Nature Park is a 250-acre waterfront park featuring ponds, trails & scenic viewpoints, plus an environmental center at the foot of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. We have to walk our bikes across the bridge walkway. Retuning through Camden and cycling over the Ben Franklin Bridge after carrying our bikes up three flights of stairs into Philly.     Level CCC+, 12 ish mph, 43 miles. Wilson Farm Park, Chesterbrook. Parking lot next to Rt 202: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=6736486. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. OK, the weather was unsettled the last time I listed this ride and I had a low turn out. Level CCC+ stands for Chester County C+ ride. The only flat part of Chester County is the trail, which will be the last 10 miles of the trip. Before that, the steep climbs are not long and the long climbs are not steep. That's about the best I could do after 4 revisions. Moderate pace, lots of shade, 2 H2O stops, and camera ready scenery. Yes, we will ride past Memory Lane. Cue sheets will be available.

    Level D/D+/C-, 8-12 mph, 15-28 miles. Meet at Upper Dublin High School. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Deferred for 9-5 Labor Day holiday. Scheduled for most Monday evenings throughout the summer. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the day's stresses, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Pedal away the stresses of the work day, at a relaxed pace.n We'll cycle on peaceful roads in Eastern Montgomery County. We'll be meeting in the small parking lot next to the ball field, and across the street from the high school. Please bring lights in case we are delayed on our return. Some days we'll ride familiar favorite routes, other days we'll scope out new routes. Today we'll ride to the Pizza Time Saloon in West Point, after a quick park rest stop on the way out.     Wed September 7, 2016 - Day/Night Phoenixville Dog Ride

    Level B-/C+, 13.5-14.5 mph, 40-55 miles. Meet at Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. From now until the end of September, the weekly dog ride will be a day/night ride, with headlights required. If you are new to night riding, this is a good introduction as half of the ride is in daylight, half is at night. Come out and join us for beautiful rides on low-traffic roads. One pace is offered: 13.5 - 14.5 mph. No one dropped, regroup as necessary. These rides tend to be on the hilly side, compared to other start locations.     Level B-/C+, 13-15 mph, ~50-ish miles. Laurel Beech Park, 1313 East Mermaid Lane, Wyndmoor, PA (Springfield Township). Laurel Beech Park on Mermaid Lane is between Cheltenham Ave and Queen St.. The ride leaves at 12:45 pm. For 9/9: Leader has to work in the morning, so, we'll meet at 12:45pm. Meet in Wyndmoor, and meander through Montgomery County, via Chestnut Hill to the Schuylkill River Trail out to Phoenixville. We'll stop by AIM Academy on River Rd near Manor Rd, so that riders will know the location of the Start/Finish point for the Scenic Schuykill Century this coming Sunday. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. We'll explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions.     Level B- , 13-15 mph, 80 miles. The Pavilion shopping center (Lansdale) at corner of Broad St / Whites Rd (just down the block from Whites Rd Park) - park near Pets Plus. The ride leaves at 7:45 am. Scenic ride to the Bowers Park Chile Pepper Festival (http://www.pepperfestival.com/Welcome.html). Beautiful scenery along mostly low traffic roads. Rolling to hilly terrain. Challenging yet manageable climbing miles 27-34 followed by long and fast 3 mile descent prior to stop at Bowers Park. Another 3 miles of climbing after rest stop / lunch at the Festival before flattening out and returning to rollers for remainder of return. Optional rest stop at Turkey Hill at mile 20, longer rest stop at midway point for lunch and final (optional) stop at Wawa at mile 63.     Level B-/C+, 13.5-14.5 mph, 45.7 miles. Meet at Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. From now until the end of September, the weekly dog ride will be a day/night ride, with headlights required. If you are new to night riding, this is a good introduction as half of the ride is in daylight, half is at night. Come out and join us for beautiful rides on low-traffic roads. One pace is offered: 13.5 - 14.5 mph. No one dropped, regroup as necessary. These rides tend to be on the hilly side, compared to other start locations. Come on out and see why the regular riders are so enthusiastic about this ride. This week's ride - the always popular Flowing Springs Nirvana. We venture into Nantmeal, then climb our way back via Flowing Springs. We get to ride past County Park and sneer at it, since we will not be climbing it this time around.     Level B-/C+, 13-15 mph, ~50-ish miles. Laurel Beech Park, 1313 East Mermaid Lane, Wyndmoor, PA (Springfield Township). Laurel Beech Park on Mermaid Lane is between Cheltenham Ave and Queen St.. The ride leaves at 12:45 pm. For 9/23: Leader has to work in the morning, so, we'll meet at 12:45pm. Sorry - work is not cooperating with cycling schedule for one more week after this - after 9/30 (beginning 10/7), the Friday Frolic will resume meeting in the morning. Today, we'll meet in Wyndmoor, and meander through Montgomery County, via Chestnut Hill to the Schuylkill River Trail out to Phoenixville for a quick rest stop. To save time, there is a Wawa in Phoenixville. Plan is to return to starting point by ~5:00pm. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. We'll explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions.
