This is a gorgeous excursion to Terre Hill in Lancaster county. The route includes hilly and shady roads in northwestern Chester county in the first third of the ride, open roads along farm lands in the mid section in Lancaster county, and more hills on the way back through French Creek State Park between Berks and Chester counties. Part 2 of this ride can be found on the cue to Mt. Gretna.
