Ride with the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia
on a unique cycling adventure to Brooklyn

September 3rd, 2023

The Road to Brooklyn

Our route meanders along the South Branch of the Raritan River, across the Watchung Mts, and down into Basking Ridge NJ, before riding through the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge.  It then transitions to an urban route through Elizabeth and Staten Island before taking the ferry to Manhattan.

In New York, the route goes up the Hudson River Greenway bike path and over the Brooklyn Bridge to our destination, the Nu Hotel in Brooklyn Heights. (See: www.nuhotelbrooklyn.com

Refreshments will be available upon arrival at the hotel in Brooklyn. We’ve also made arrangements for showering and changing at the hotel. You can pick up your bag from the bus, which will be waiting upon arrival. For dinner, many affordable fine dining establishments are nearby, featuring Thai, Italian, Greek, Indian, and Continental cuisines.

We will leave at 8 pm to return to New Hope and Philadelphia via motor coaches. Professional movers will transport our bicycles back to the starting points, where they will be waiting upon our return.

The truck bringing back the bikes will go on to 30th Street after returning to New Hope.

This is a fully supported ride with SAG support, cue sheets, electronic GPS files, and ride leaders with each group. Groups will operate according to BCP ride policies.
