BCP offers many regularly scheduled weekly rides. Occasionally, ad-hoc rides are announced. These rides are sent by email to all members of the BCP email list. To join this list, click here.     Tue January 25, 2022 - RIDE CLOSED Conshohocken- Feine cafe

    Level D: 10-11mph, 26 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Ride out the SRT , possibly via Umbria depending on conditions to the Feine cafe in Conshohocken. We’ll return over the Manayunk bridge through the Laurel hill cemetery.Diana and I will lead the ride. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Thu January 27, 2022 - Thursday Morning Hill Ride

    Level C-: 11mph, 25 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. We'll take Hagys Ford Rd to Fairview, L on Consho St Rd onto Mill Creek Rd and up Gulph until a familiar L turn to Ardmore Farmers Market. Return through Narberth and down Righters Mill homeward bound. Cue sheets will not be available. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 10:10 am.

    Fri January 28, 2022 - Friday Frolic w/Linda. This is the generic description. Specific details will be posted on daily calendar for each Friday.

    Level B-: 14mph, 45-50, +/- miles. Start location to be determined. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk, or snow activity. As long as we are enjoying outdoor exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing. Cue sheets will be available.

    Fri January 28, 2022 - Paper Trail Bike Coffee Shop - Rittenhouse Town, Wisahicon Park

    Level D: 10mph, 20 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. We go back to the Papper Trail Bike Coffee Shop in Rittenhouse Town, Wisahicon Park each Friday. Don't hold your breath that the Wisahicon bike trail be open anytime soon. That route is the easiest so we are forced to take a harder route out but a reasonably easy route home. If KYW is reporting rain, snow, or icy road conditions outside their studio, ride cancels. Cue sheets will not be available. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:10 am.

    Sat January 29, 2022 - Toss of the Dice 2.0

    Level C+: 14mph, 35-80 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:15 am. Various friendly rides per DAILY RIDE CALENDAR departing FROM THE PARKING ATTENDANT BOOTH at specified time and ranging 35-80 miles. We will regroup as needed, but riders are expected to ride group pace. Bring food or money for snack along the way, as well as a spare tube, tire irons and multi-tool. Check daily listing for route information. Ride may be cancelled up to 1 hour prior to departure time. Please be familiar with the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia Rider Guidelines for COVID-19 Mitigation, and bring a mask for the rest stop. Preregistration required.     Level B-: 14mph, 35-80 miles. Meet at South Ardmore Park - Parking Area 39.99575062256815, -75.29031942261173. The ride leaves at 9:15 am. Various friendly rides per DAILY RIDE CALENDAR (mostly heading west, south west or north west) leaving at specified time and ranging 35-80 miles. Typical destinations include but not limited to: Brandywine creek area, Valley Forge and Kimberton. We will regroup as needed, but riders are expected to ride group pace. Bring food or money for snack along the way, as well as basic tools. Check daily listing for route information. Ride may be cancelled up to 1 hour prior to departure time. Please be familiar with the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia Rider Guidelines for COVID-19 Mitigation, and bring a mask for the rest stop. Preregistration required. Cue sheets available upon request.     Sun January 30, 2022 - Sunday AM Hike in the Wissahickon - COVID PRECAUTIONS in Effect

    Hike Swift Pace on Moderate Trails, Moderate Pace on Moderate Trails, 7 miles. Meet at Parking lot of the Highland train station in Chestnut Hill, 8493 Seminole St, between Gravers Lane and Highland Ave.. The hike leaves at 9:30 am. Explore peaceful trails in the Wissahickon, with a rest break at the mid-way point. We'll explore some different trails today. On the second half, we can take a slight short-cut to shave off a little bit of distance, if needed. Well-behaved canine hikers on leashes are always welcome to join us. If trails are muddy or snow/ice-covered, wearing some type of "Yak Tracks" or "Microspikes" under your shoes is highly recommended for safety and traction. We will meet at the Highland train station parking lot, just for a change of pace. This is on Seminole, between Gravers Lane and Highland Ave. From the train station, we'll walk down Rex Ave, to access the park trail. COVID PRECAUTIONS in Effect. PREREGISTRATION (see the link below) is REQUIRED, so that the Leader(s) can plan ahead for safe group size(s). Group size is limited to 20.     Sun January 30, 2022 - Sunny Sunday C Spin-Off

    Level C: 12mph Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:15 pm. A true C ride, which cheerfully waits to regroup. Usually 25-35 miles with a lunch or snack stop. Meet at the Italian Fountain, near the parking garage sign.

    Sun January 30, 2022 - Sunday Afternoon (Post-Hike) Winter Ramble Ride (General description -- specific details will be posted for each Sunday) COVID PRECAUTIONS remain in effect

    Level B-: 14mph, 32-40 miles. Meet at Various Starting Locations - details posted each week. The ride leaves at 1:15 pm. Scenic loop, thru Mont.Co. or Lower Bucks, brief rest stop. MEETING POINTS WILL VARY, based on the various Start/Finish points of the morning hike somewhere in the Wissahickon. Return by 5:00pm. Distance will be determined by sunset time. Please bring LIGHTS. Details posted each week. Every Sun during winter hike season, weather permitting, w/possible exception Valentine's Day weekend. If weather not bike-friendly, ride may be replaced by snow activity. Keep moving through winter - maintain base fitness for spring cycling in March. COVID PRECAUTIONS will be maintained, based on the current public health guidelines in effect at the time. Cue sheets will be available.
