BCP offers many regularly scheduled weekly rides. Occasionally, ad-hoc rides are announced. These rides are sent by email to all members of the BCP email list. To join this list, click here.     Sun September 27, 2020 - C spin-off to Flourtown

    Level C: 12mph, 35 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:15 am. C ride to Flourtown Giant for quick food and water stop. We will be back by 4:30 pm. Friendly C ride that cheerfully waits to regroup. Some climbing. Face coverings required at meetup and in the Giant but not required for riding. Club Covid rules in effect. No ride if rain at start or 50 pct or more chance of rain during ride in NOAA forecast. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.

    Sun September 27, 2020 - RIDE CLOSED HILLS OUT WEST - GROUP LIMIT 10 - RIDE TIME 8:30 AM. Moved Due to Rain:

    Level B+/B: 15.5-16mph, 70-80+ miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 8:30 am. I'm subbing for Mr. Knight. The ride will take us to Kennett Square for Tacos. Expect about 77 miles with approx. 4,500 ft of elevation. We will regroup as needed, but riders are expected to ride group pace. Bring food or money for snack along the way, as well as a spare tube. Check daily listing for route information. Ride may be cancelled up to 1 hour prior to departure time. Please be familiar with the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia Rider Guidelines for COVID-19 Mitigation, and bring a mask for the rest stop. Preregistration required. Cue sheets will not be available.     Sun September 27, 2020 - Sunny Sunday D Ride

    Level D: 9-12mph, 12*24 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:00 pm. OWLS (Older, Wiser, Longer, Slower) paced ride for young and old ride through Fairmount Park and beyond. Please wear helmet and mask for Covid 19 precautions (required by the club). Please bring water, $ for mid ride snack stop, extra tube, sunscreen, and smiles. There might be a hill or two to help with conditioning, but we will regroup at the top to allow for catching one's breath. There will be some instruction for newer riders. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 12:00 pm.

    Mon September 28, 2020 - City Coffee Minday - Port Richmond

    Level D: 10mph, 17 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Let's do an inner city ride along the Amtrak Northeast Corridor, W Sedgley Ave to Eire Ave then down through Bridesburg to see if the River Wards Coffee shop is open, otherwise we will continue to a coffee shop at Belgrade St and E Lehigh Ave. If KYW is reporting rain outside their studio one hour prior to start, ride cancels. Cue sheets will not be available. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Monday, September 28, 2020 at 10:10 am.

    Mon September 28, 2020 - Tom B's Monday Nites from Westlakes Corp Center

    Level B: 14-15.5mph, 20-35 miles. Meet at Westlakes Corp Center. The ride leaves at 5:30 pm. PLEASE RSVP - Small "B" category rides starting Monday 6/8/20. Meet at Westlakes Corporate Center Parking on the Chester Valley Trail. This is behind the new Springhill Suites Hotel off of Rte. 252. We'll ride many of the roads that we use on the COS rides. Will break into groups of less than 10 and abide by the SCU/BCP COVID-19 Mitigation Guidelines at all times. Ride leader(s) will sign you in. Will publish route on Monday mornings so you can download to device. No cue sheets will be handed out. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level D: 10mph, 19 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Narberth awaits us but this week we will have our coffee at GET, Great Expectations Together. A non-profit coffee shop giving work experience to special needs youth. Out and back the usual routes if you been on these rides to Narberth, PA. If KYW is reporting rain outside their studio one hour prior to start, the ride cancels. Cue sheets will not be available.     Wed September 30, 2020 - M.I.M.O.S.A. - Philadelphia Navy Yard

    Level D: 10mph, 16 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. To the Navy Yard to take in Mystery Island and the Marvelous Occurrence of Spontaneous Art (code name: M.I.M.O.S.A.), a collection of six new temporary works of public art that play with the built environment of Philadelphia’s former League Island. https://navyyard.org/mimosa We will first cycle down to Schuylkill Banks Crescent to inspect the progress of the construction on the swing bridge over the Schuylkill River at Greysferry to Bartrum's Garden.
