It is always good to spec out a bike route to where you want to lead a BCP ride to ahead of time. We have cycled down to the Navy Yard many times, today's route will be different, over 25th St, under the industrial train viaduct whose cement structure has been falling apart for years and now is being referbished. I want to experience the progress. Then 26th street is a straight shot to the back entrance to the Navy Yard, by the new Tastykake baking facility. But south 26th St is a fast way to get from the Schuylkill Expressway at Passyunk Ave to the Prat Bridge, over to the Airport and Interstate 95. I want to experience any shoulder that may have been improved since I last cycled that Street more than 20 years ago. Let's go exploring and have a second breakfast in the Navy Yard.
