Anyone else say yes to some REI stuff during their anniversary sale? Time to go collect it! Going to head out on Thursday to gather my purchase and, of course, peruse the garage sale area. On our way out we will take the 'long way' out the SRT ( routes indicate tow path not the umbria hill) and then riding a bit past conshocken and kind of looping around, all to avoid a hill. Way back will be more direct down the hill to the SRT and then on back to Cosmic. There might be a stop at Tricycle or some other spot if pastries are calling our name. This is the route to REI https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46876499 and this is the route home: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46876512

FOR MAY 31: We will be borrowing one of Howard Hochheiser's very scenic routes. This is a pretty and scenic meander in outer Montgomery County to visit the friendly alpacas at Graceful Glen Farm at Mile 19....they usually come right up to the fence to say "hello" to us. On the outbound, we have a quick bathroom & water break at Fischer's Park on bustard Rd at Mile 11. Please bring snacks with you. On the return from the alpaca farm, we can stop at Hennings Market in Harleysville at Mile 26 for a sit-down lunch stop, if riders prefer. There is also an optional Wawa stop in Skippack at Mile 31. The total elevation gain is rolling, but pretty tame - less than 2000 ft. There are a couple of short, steep climbs, and some longer but less steep climbs. Please click on the RWGPS.com link to view the elevation profile. CO-LEADER(S) WELCOME to add alternative speed groups. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk. As long as we are enjoying outdoor exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing.
