Leader: Diana Dooley, , 215 680 2322Four “C’s” and a “B” Bike Ride to Children’s Village in Chinatown ( and lunch) No, this is not Jim’s report card from his undergraduate days, but rather the initials of our starting point and destinations of today’s multi-part ride. We start at Cosmic Cafe, take the Schuylkill River Trail (SRT) to the new beautiful bridge that connects the Boardwalk to the Grays Ferry Crescent Trail at 34th St, and also check on the progress of the swing bridge that is due for completion in late ‘25 or early ‘26, We’ll then circle back and get on the Pine Street Bike Lane that will get us most of the way to the Ben Franklin Bridge. We take the bridge to Camden for a quick tour of the waterfront with great views of the Philadelphia skyline ( eat your heart out Brooklyn Heights!) and then back onto the BFB to Children’s Village(CV) at 8th & Arch streets. CV is a not-for-profit childcare center that provides the highest quality care to some 400 children a day from infants through 6th grade. (childrensvillagephila.org ) Optional: We’ve arranged for a quick tour of CV along with a snack, so please hang out if you can. Finally, what better way to end a cool day with lunch at a Chinatown noodle house, namely, highly rated Nan Zhou Hand Drawn Noodle House at 1022 Race St. (Cash only) This will be a nice and easy true D ride, v little climbing with the exception of the gradual climb on the BFB. BRING LOCK!!!
