This is an INDOOR social event, held RAIN OR SHINE. Social and educational meeting for members, to help us "Keep Rolling Through the Winter," that is, how to maintain one's physical fitness & conditioning (via outdoor and/or indoor training), how to minimize winter weight gain, how to winterize one's bicycle for harsh weather & road conditions, and, how to dress properly for outdoor activities in the cold. Physical Therapist Greg Kowal will present training techniques to maintain strength, and aerobic conditioning & stamina in the off-season (which helps to prevent winter weight gain). Main Line Cycles will present the topics of how to winterize one's bike, as well as how to dress effectively for outdoor exercise in the cold. The topic of proper illumination for riding in the dark will be covered. We will have time for socializing, and for posing questions to our expert presenters. REFRESHMENTS will be served. MASKS are required inside the store, as a COVID precaution. VOLUNTEERS APPRECIATED: If you are able to arrive ~5:45pm to assist with set-up, THANK YOU! Program will run from 6:15 to 8:15pm. PARKING: Parking is available in the lot immediately adjacent to and behind Fast Signs and Main Line Cycles, accessible via Montgomery Ave and Gordon Ave. PUBLIC TRANSIT: SEPTA's 44 bus runs along Montgomery Ave, in front of Main Line Cycles. The Narberth train station, near Narberth and Haverford Aves, is a few blocks from Main Line Cycles. The Narberth train station is served by the R5 rail line, which runs from Paoli-Thorndale into Center City, then, north to Lansdale-Doylestown.
