    Level C thru A, 12-18 mph, 27 miles. Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot; 2 ASH St.; Conshohocken, PA., 19428 (Behind the Marriot Hotel). The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. This is a "road bike" ride that requires a strong front headlight and a rear tail light. We have 3 different groups (C, B and B+) which ride between 12 and 18 mph. We typically get @ 25 riders on warm nights. We meet 6pm behind the Marriot hotel in the Jacobs Engineering parking lot on ASH St. in Conshohocken, PA. We leave the lot 6:15 sharp and head to the Philly Art Museum area via Roxboro, Manyunk and East Falls. We take a short 5 minute bathroom/snack break at Lloyd Hall before returning to Conshohocken by 8:30. Q sheets provided for slower or faster riders.Rain or starting temp. below 40F cancels the ride

    Fri November 4, 2011 - Ockehocking Hills

    Level B-/C+, 13-15 mph, 35 miles. Church of the Savior in Wayne, 651 N. Wayne Ave, rear parking lot, near athletic fields. The ride leaves at 9:45 am. Enjoy one of Tom Madle's popular and scenic routes, leaving from Wayne. This route does have hills, but we will stop to regroup as needed. At about half-way, we'll pass the Ockehocking Preserve, a 180-acre open space reserve. After passing the Ockehocking Preserve, we'll stop for a snack break at Ridley Creek State Park before returning to Wayne. Please bring snacks with you. (We can also stop at the Wawa in Wayne on our way out to buy snacks.) When we return to Wayne, we can stop for a full lunch at a diner. Cue sheets will be available.

    Sat November 5, 2011 - Burlington City, NJ, Along the Delaware

    Level C, 12 mph, 50 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. We will cycle up the New Jersey side of the Delaware River to Burlington via River Road but first we will need to bike up the walkway over the Ben Franklin Bridge and portage our bikes down three flights of stairs on the other side. Come experience the river from the other side and be surprised how lovely the old Victorian mansions have survived and the beauty of the tree lined streets. If there are about 10 to 20 riders, I will try to arrange an escort across the Burlington Bristle Bridge (no guarantees). If so we will then cycle down to the Tacony Palmyra Bridge to walk on the sidewalk to cross. Bring some extra change for crossing back over the Ben Franklin Bridge on the High Speed Line. So how many ways are there to cross the Delaware River? Cue sheets will be available.

    Sat November 5, 2011 - Main Line Cycles Saturday Brisk Ride

    Level B+, 16-17 ave. mph, 40 miles. Meet at Main Line Cycles back parking lot, Narberth, PA. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Nice roads with lots of rolling hills and a few climbs. We head out from Narberth, go through Bryn Mawr and out towards Paoli. At Waynesborough Country Club, we head south on some of the best roads in the area. We go back through Villanova, Gladwyne, Belmont Hills and Bala Cynwyd. No one gets dropped. Brief stop halfway, but bring your snack as we don't pass any stores. We typically return between 10:30 and 11:00. Weather forecast shows 0% change of rain, but cold. 36 deg. at 8am. "Warming" to 45 deg at 11:00. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level C+, 13-14 mph, 40-50 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:15 am. This Saturday we ride to Ambler. We'll keep a steady pace and effort (rolling speed on flat terrain 15 - 16 mph). Bring money for a snack.     Sat November 5, 2011 - Delightful, Delicious D (and D+/C-) Ride, Saturday Edition

    Level D/D+/C-, 8-12 mph, 25 +/- miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Enjoy the "Wildlife, History, & Gardens" loop from Center City to the John Heinz Wildlife Refuge in Tinicum, then on to Old Fort Mifflin, Bartram's Gardens, then return to Center City. We will ride at a relaxed pace for novice riders, newcomers to Philadelphia, and/or anyone seeking a gentle recovery ride. The route is mainly flat, save for a few mild climbs -- we'll stop as needed to regroup after hills. Many of the roads have bike lanes. We will stop briefly at the Wildlife Refuge, Fort Mifflin, and Bartram's Gardens -- please bring snacks. Please contact the leader ahead of time (by Friday night), if you plan to join us.     Level B, 14 mph, 65 miles. Sailor's Point parking lot of Lake Galena (Peace Valley Park) at New Galena and Myers roads.. The ride leaves at 9:15 am. This ride will go through the lightly-traveled wooded regions of upper Bucks County in search of the fall colors. From Lake Galena, we will pedal to Revere for a quick water stop at mile 29. Then we will continue on to Richlandtown for a sit-down lunch stop at a pizzeria restaurant at mile 47. Then 18 miles back to the cars after lunch. My cell number is (267) 261 - 1677. I love both rides so much that I can't make up my mind. I'll bring cue sheets for both and you vote which one we'll do. Pretty much the same distance, both are very scenic, low traffic, have rolling hills and a climb or two. So if you are retired, out of work, have election day off, or need a mental health day (good forecast so far), come join us.

    Level D, 10 mph, 25 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. Cooper River Park is Camden County's equivalent of Philadelphia's Frairmount Park with its Schuylkill River, Kelly Dr and Martin Luther King Dr. We will need to bike up the walkway over the Ben Franklin Bridge and portage our bikes down three flights of stairs on the other side. I found a more suitable route to the park and of course we will stop at the Dunkin Donuts on the way back close to the park. Bring some more change and we will take the High Speed Line back over the bridge as a demonstration of inter mobile transportation modes. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level B-/C+, 13-15 mph, 56 miles. Lower-level parking lot behind the Visitors Center at Valley Forge National Park. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Hilly but lovely and scenic loop through Chester County, crossing French Creek on peaceful roads. Convenience store quick stop at mile 23, then at mile 33, a sit-down lunch stop at the bakery/cafe in St. Peter's, which overlooks the Creek. We will stop to regroup after climbs, as needed. On the return trip, there is a short-cut option which will shave off about 4.5 miles. Co-leaders welcome -- please contact the Leader, if you would like to lead a group at an alternative speed. We'll ride to the LeBus Bakery Outlet for cake and coffee before heading back to Flourtown thru Swedeland, Bridgeport, Jeffersonville and the Norristown Farm Park.
