But instead of making you (and me) ride 80 miles of hills, I'm going to do my wife's and my favorite ride as a memorial to her, since the third anniversary of her death is 4 days from now. We'll follow the usual hill route to the driveway on Hagys Ford Road. Then, we'll go up Williamson Road and wind our way up to Old Gulph Road, where we'll take a glorious downhill to Matson Ford Road and into Conshohocken for lunch at the Great American Pub. From there you can choose to return via the SRT. But, this is a hill ride and I'm following the route that my wife and I loved. So, I will lead those who are willing onto River Road, up Umbria, onto the Cynwyd Trail, and through West Laurel Hill Cemetary to put a stone on my late wife's grave. From there we'll head back to the start. Even if this isn't 80 miles, it should be rigorous enough to count as an 80th birthday ride. Note the summer hours 9 AM start. Cue sheets will not be available.
