    Levels B+: 16-17mph, B/B-: 14-15mph, C+: 13-14mph, 45 miles. Meet at Pen-Ambler Park 716 Pen Ambler Rd · Ambler, PA. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. Bring yer bike & sense of adventure. Expect good company on safe/low trafficked roads. Lunch stops may be sit down, takeout, or in a park. Will regroup as needed, but must be able to ride the posted pace. Must be willing to ride safely & obey traffic laws. Please complete the linked paperless sign-in form. Bathrooms available at all start locations. Check day of the ride if weather is iffy (rain cancels, but likely to reschedule for Wed.). Will make a call at least an hour prior to start time.     Level C: 12mph, 20-30 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 9:00 am. The ride will depart from Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park at 10:00 am. Ride Level: C- through D: 10.5mph, Distance: 20-30 miles. This is a generic description of the ride which will go to one of three destinations every Tuesday:GET Cafe in Narberth; Farmers’ Market in Ardmore or Whole Foods in Wynnewood. Some climbing of 800 to 1000 feet. First part of ride will generally mean a climb into Fairmount Park, across the Strawberry Mansion Bridge up to Chamounix. And then proceed up Bryn Mawr Avenue. and on to our final destination of Narberth, Ardmore or Wynnewood. On an ad hoc basis we may include new destinations and advance notice will be provided along with details. Always a fun group of friendly people so come on out! Cue sheets will not be available.     Tue July 1, 2025 - Delightful, Delicious D/D+/C- Summer Evening Rides

    Level C- through D: 9.5-11.5mph, 12-30 miles. Meet at Glenside Public Library parking lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. **SUGGESTED** route for 7/1: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/18469525, 26mi Relaxed-pace evening rides on Tuesdays throughout summer. Distance and pace will depend on the riders in our group. (Sunset time will also determine distance.) This ride is suited for novice or returning riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Enjoy pretty and peaceful roads in eastern Montgomery County, pedaling away the stresses of the workday. We usually take a brief rest break mid-ride, depending on distance. Please bring water/Gatorade and a snack with you. Please also bring LIGHTS, in case we have a delay and are returning close to dark.     Wed July 2, 2025 - Mid-Week, Mid-Morning Mellow Coffee (or Ice Coffee!) Ride (mostly on shaded trails) (ad-hoc ride)

    Level B-/C+: 12-14mph, 26 miles. Meet at Pennypack Park Pine Rd. entrance. The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Mid-morning ride for coffee (or ice coffee) and a snack at the Steel Penny Cafe in Hatboro, leaving from the Pine Rd trailhead of Pennypack Park. Over half of the ride will be on the heavily shaded Pennypack Trail/Newtown Rail Trail. Some modest rolling hills in the middle, but no extreme climbs. The beginning and final segments are on the trail, which is mostly flat. Total elevation gain is 1278 ft. The trail surface is hard-packed cinder, compatible with most road bike tires. PUBLIC TRANSIT ACCESS from Center City: The start/finish on Pine Rd 1.3 miles from the Fox Chase train station on Rhawn St. (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51420544).     Wed July 2, 2025 - Delightful, Delicious Wednesday Evening Rides, D/C+/C-

    Level C- through D: 9-12mph, 15-30 miles. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. SUGGESTED ROUTE for July 2: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/36266775 Most summer Wednesday evenings, weather permitting. Gently paced, post-work ride to pedal away stresses, suited for novice or returning riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Peaceful roads Eastern Mont Co, w/brief rest stop. Please bring lights. Preregistration saves you writing time at the start. Meet in parking lot of Flourtown Shop Ctr Bethlehem Pike (McDonald's in front, facing the Pike). In September, as evening daylight shortens, this ride will meet earlier (5:45, then, 5:30). Helmets are required on all club rides. Please also bring two bottles for water/Gatorade, as well as front & rear bike lights. RESTROOMS are available inside GIANT MARKET. Occasionally throughout the summer, we will finish with post-ride refreshments. PUBLIC TRANSIT access to Flourtown: the 94 Bus runs along Bethlehem Pike.     Wed July 2, 2025 - Dinner Ride to Dining under the Stars in Media

    Level D: 9-12mph, 5-6 miles. Meet at Rose Tree Park, Media, PA, 19063. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. This is a D (for Diner) short ride to Media. State Street in Media is closed to traffic and the restaurants all have out-door seating. It is fun dining outside on a nice summer day. The ride will have a hill or two for a short distance to downtown Media. Please wear helmet(required by the club.). Please bring extra tube and tools to fix a flat, water, $$$ for dinner and even a quick ice cream stop before leaving Media. Please have lights front and back for the ride back to the start.

    Level C- through D: 10-12.5mph, 15-30 miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 4:00 pm. Earlier start time today (4:00pm), due to SCU meeting this evening. Scheduled for most Thursday evenings throughout summer, weather permitting. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away work stresses, suited for novice or returning riders, newcomers to area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Start by riding on Schuylkill River Trail, and/or, Cross County Trail, which connects the Schuylkill w/Plymouth Meeting . As riders get stronger, we can turn off the trails and explore some pretty roads in the area. Please bring LIGHTS in case we return close to dark. Our mileage will be determined by how much evening light we have. Occasionally, this ride may meet earlier in afternoon, due to other event in evening.     Levels B: 15mph, 20 - 35 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. A moderately hilly ride conquering Main Line hills that regroups at the top of each climb. As the days lengthen, so does the ride. No riders doing the listed pace will be dropped. Bike lights are highly recommended. Optional after ride drink Waterworks beer garden - Bring ID. Rain cancellations will be listed on web site up to 1 hour prior to ride.     Fri July 4, 2025 - Friday Frolic w/Linda. Early AM, Pre-Picnic Ride

    Level B-: 14mph, 43 miles. Start location to be determined. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Meet early AM at Lower Perkiomen Park, site of the 4th of July holiday picnic later today. Cycle from LPP to Evansburg State Park, Centre Square, and Ambler, then return via Schuylkill River Trail to LPP for the hot dog holiday lunch organized by George Yarnell. Return for lunch by noon. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk.     Level D: 9-12mph, 48 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum.. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Casual paced ride using the Schuylkill River trail and the Perkiomen Trail to the Lower Perkiomen Park. This is a D ride with a longer distance. It is mostly flat. Please wear helmet(required by the club.). Please bring extra tube and tools to fix a flat, water, sunscreen, proper dress for the weather. We may have a quick stop along the way for bathroom stops and possibly a coffee stop. The picnic is free. There will be the option of taking the Septa Regional Rail from Norristown or Conshohocken for the return trip. Please preregister so that the cooks will ample supplies for hungry bike riders.

    Sat July 5, 2025 - Early Bird Convoluted Ride to Coffee in Ambler

    Level C+: 13.5-14mph, 50 +/-- miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 7:30 am. Assemble at 7:30. Depart at 7:35 SHARP! Ride through East Fairmount Park, East Falls, Wyncote, and Flourtown (with "Disco Frog" photo op) to Wake in Ambler (at mile 22 or so) for 35-minute coffee stop (it’s all about the coffee), then return via Lower Gwynedd and Manayunk Bridge and Bala. Approx. 2,200 feet of climbing. Will regroup as necessary, but riders are expected to achieve posted speed (i.e., what our computers show as avg. at end of ride).     Sat July 5, 2025 - Annual Trek to Mount Gretna CO-LEADERS(S) WELCOME to add alternative speed groups. UPDATED ROUTE by Charlie B.

    Level B-: 13.5-14.5mph, 77/53 miles. Meet at Shady Maple Farm Market on PA-23 in Goodville, Lancaster Co. (PA Turnpike West to Morgantown/Exit 298. Take PA-10 South for 1 mile to PA-23 West. Right at PA-23. Straight on 23 West for 8 miles, then turn left into Shady Maple parking lot. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Beautiful ride through Lancaster and Lebanon Counties for an al fresco lunch at the historic Jigger Shop in the town of Mount Gretna, based on the classic route led by Eduardo Ruchelli and Dave Ziccardi. Moderately to dramatically rolling terrain with a few flat and sustained climbing sections on the way out. After the short climb out of Mount Gretna, the way back will be noticeably easier and will include a brief water stop. Anyone wanting to ride a slower pace and/or do fewer miles can opt for a self-guided (after mile 21.3), less hilly 53 mile route which skips Mt. Gretna. Prompt start at 8:00, in order to beat the afternoon heat. If it's your first time doing this ride, please contact leader by evening by Friday evening, with questions re. driving directions or parking. Bad weather, including extreme heat, will cancel. A go/no-go message will be added to this listing by 6:30 a.m. if the weather is questionable. HEAT ADVISORY: Although this route is LOVELY, we will have limited amounts of shade. Please bring (and consume) plenty of fluids and electrolyte snacks, and please remember the sunblock. Total climbing is 4004 ft. REST STOPS: On the outbound and return, we will stop at convenience stores/gas stations. The mid-way LUNCH STOP, Jigger Shop, is open for outside patio seating. This classic route is very scenic, but very challenging, with vigorous climbs. The difficulty rating is at least a "B" for terrain.     Level D: 8-10mph, 50 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum.. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. Yes this is a D Ride because I call it that since my average speed is 8 miles an hour. I do enjoy some long distance rides once in a while and we haven't been to Malvern on the route in my head in long while! A deserved rest at the Buttery, highly recommended by Simon Knight. The route is hilly, Darby Paoli Rd, the return route is flat after a delicious down hill to the Chester Valley Trail and the Schuykill River Trail. This is an all day ride, but back before 5pm. If KYW is reporting rain outside their studio one hour prior to start, ride cancels. Cue sheets will not be available.

Join us on a splendid Saturday for a scenic ride as we return to Lansdale for lunch at Main Street Pizzeria. Expect hills along the way and a slight modification of last year's route.     Sun July 6, 2025 - BELMAR BEACH, NJ & Beyond, to Ocean Grove & Asbury Park. Longer Version Including the Reservoir.

    Level B-: 14mph, 79 miles. Meet at Etra Lake Park, Disbrow Hill Rd, East Windsor, NJ. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. In a seashore state of mind? Today, we'll visit the central Jersey shore in Monmouth County, beaches more familiar to New Yorkers. This scenic route is popular with the Princeton FreeWheelers. In addition to cycling along Ocean Drive in the pretty seaside towns of Spring Lake and Belmar, we’ll also ride around Perrineville Lake, Manasquan Reservoir, and Lake Como. Outdoor Lunch stop at Belmar Beach around mile 40, plus rest stops along the way, to and from Belmar. After Belmar, we will continue north along the Ocean Drive to the seashore towns of Ocean Grove and Asbury Park, before returning inland to the starting point. The middle of the route (near the beach) is flat. The beginning and end portions have very gently rolling hills, but nothing steep. We will stop to regroup as needed. Total elevation gain is 2265 ft. Driving Directions to the starting point at Etra Lake Park: 1) New Jersey Turnpike North to Exit 8 – Hightstown/Freehold (NJ-133). 2) From the Turnpike exit ramp, quickly turn right onto Milford Rd. 3) In 1.1 miles, turn left at “T” at County Rd 571/Etra-Perrineville Rd. (Etra Lake will be on your left.) 4) In 0.2 miles, turn left at 3-way onto Disbrow Hill Rd. Parking lot will be on your left. Please allow 75 mins driving time from Phila. Casual paced ride through Fairmount Park and beyond for those new to group riding, returning to biking after a layoff, or just wanting to have fun without racing through the streets. Please wear helmet(required by the club.). Please bring water, sunscreen, extra tube and tools to fix a flat, and $ for midride snack stop. If the weather is really hot, the ride will be short. There might be a hill or two, but we will stop to catch our breaths at the tops(good for physical conditioning.).

This weekly ride is scheduled on Mondays starting on April 7, 2025 and is scheduled to end on September 22, 2025. The ride will depart from Church of the Savior, Wayne, PA at 6:00 pm promptly. Ride Level: D thru A We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group ( rides at 8-10 mph pace for 15 miles ) up to our "A" group ( 18-20 mph up to 30-40 miles). All rides start 6pm sharp and finish at sunset ( the Hybrid group finishes at 7:30). This ride is cross listed with SCU. No need to pre-register but please sign up when you arrive at COS. Wa are riding up the Delaware River Trails to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Borski Park* (Deleware Greenway Trail and Orthodox Streets). The event will be held at 10:00 a.m. After the Park’s Opening Ceremony, we will continue a few blocks over to I Knead Coffee for refreshment. We will ride home either through the neighborhoods or return the way we came - along the riverfront trails. *The Robert A. Borski, Jr. Park is part of the 11-mile greenway that Riverfront North Partnership helps to create, activate and steward with the City of Philadelphia. The much-anticipated park will transform a former concrete factory into a 10-acre public park with river views, a multi-use lawn, and an upland meadow, restroom, and parking. It is the last of the eight planned parks on the North Delaware River Greenway. The park is owned and managed by Philadelphia Parks and Recreation. The ride will depart from Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park at 9:00am. Ride Level: C- through D: 10.5mph, Distance: 20-30 miles. This is a generic description of the ride which will go to one of three destinations every Tuesday:GET Cafe in Narberth; Farmers’ Market in Ardmore or Whole Foods in Wynnewood. Some climbing of 800 to 1000 feet. First part of ride will generally mean a climb into Fairmount Park, across the Strawberry Mansion Bridge up to Chamounix. And then proceed up Bryn Mawr Avenue. and on to our final destination of Narberth, Ardmore or Wynnewood.     Level C- through D: 9.5-11.5mph, 12-30 miles. Meet at Glenside Public Library parking lot. Relaxed-pace evening rides on Tuesdays throughout summer. Distance and pace will depend on the riders in our group. (Sunset time will also determine distance.)     Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 28 miles. Meet at Lukens Park. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Scenic loop through Montgomery County, from Horsham to Lansdale for a quick coffee/ice coffee/snack break at Starbucks. This loop uses the Jarrett Rd trail on the outbound, and the Lansdale Liberty Bell Trail and Horsham Power Line Trail on the return. We'll also be using quiet, residential neighborhood roads and streets. Brief stop at Starbucks in Lansdale at the half-way point. Total elevation gain 1227 ft, averaging a modest 44 ft/mile. We will go south to the Crescent on the SRT, and cross over to see Bartram’s Garden, admire the river view, maybe see the Urban Cowboys, and also visit the Watt Khmer Palelai temple before venturing on to the 58th St. Greenway, Cobbs Creek Park, and back up to the coffee shop on Walnut St. where we will see photography saluting Philly’s Urban Cowboy culture. Paying homage to a time-honored BCP tradition, we will spin through a cemetery on our way home after coffee break. This time it will be historic Woodland Cemetery where the ancestors had the good sense to create an eternal resting place without formidable hills. On to home via the Chestnut St. bike lane and SRT. EARLIER START TIME to BEAT THE HEAT in the afternoon. Stop at Tabora Farm & Orchard at Mile 20 for snack & potty break. Pass Bucks County Biscotti at Mile 25. Returning from Bucks to Montgomery County, there is a park with porta potties at Mile 32. Freddie Hill Farm & Creamery at Mile 38. On the final stretch, we return to Mondauk via West Point, Gwynedd, and Ambler. Terrain is rolling, but nothing too steep. Total elevation gain is 2383 ft, with most of the climbing in the middle of the route. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year.     Level D: 10.5-11.5mph, 30 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum.. The ride leaves at 10:00 am. This is a Lunch Ride that promises to be a lot of fun. We will start out riding down the SRT to the Crescent Trail. Our destination is Stingers Waterfront Restaurant which is located at a marina on a tributary to the Delaware River in Essington. It’s a big restaurant with a big menu, so plan on some “big eats”! Our route will include about four miles of unpaved trail through the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge - so expect “shaded and very pretty” with possible wildlife sightings. Return will be via Hog Island Road and Ft. Mifflin Road, so expect a long stretch where you can ride as fast as you want on a road with very little traffic. We will re-enter Center City, via the Lindberg Boulevard bike lane, and retrace our ride up the SRT from the Crescent Trail back to the Art Museum.     Mon July 21, 2025 - Five Borough Bridges Ride

    Level D: 8-10mph, 45 ? miles. Meet at 30th Street Station. The ride leaves at 8:25 am. On one of the longest daylight days of the year, we will cycle the many bridges that cross the East River and the Hudson River. We will take the train to Rahway, NJ. Cycle over the Goethals Bridge on to Staten Island, NY. Ferry ride into Manhattan. We then cross the Brooklyn Bridge into Brooklyn, the Manhattan Bridge back into Manhattan, the Williamsburg Bridge back into Brooklyn, from there to the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge back into Manhattan. From there we take the Roosevelt Island Tramway. Now we go on the sidewalk of the Robert F Kennedy Bridge, it's previous name, the Triborough Bridge. This gets us onto Ward's Island Park to cycle across the Ward's Island Bridge over the Harlem River. This bridge is a pedestrian, bicycle lift bridge. The final bridge to cross is George Washington Bridge from the Heights to Ft Lee, NJ. The excellent is not over, we board the Edgewater passenger ferry to cruise across the Hudson River to cycle down the Hudson River Greenway leading to 34th St and Pennsylvania Station for our train ride back to Philadelphia.     Level B: 15mph, varies miles. Meet at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. This weekly ride is scheduled on Mondays starting on April 7, 2025 and is scheduled to end on September 22, 2025. The ride will depart from Church of the Savior, Wayne, PA at 6:00 pm promptly. Ride Level: D thru A We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group ( rides at 8-10 mph pace for 15 miles ) up to our "A" group ( 18-20 mph up to 30-40 miles). All rides start 6pm sharp and finish at sunset ( the Hybrid group finishes at 7:30). This ride is cross listed with SCU. No need to pre-register but please sign up when you arrive at COS. No cue sheets will be available but ride leaders generally post their routes on the SCU Meetup or the BCP website. We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.). Speed and distance will also depend on the riders in our group. Please bring lights in case we are delayed on our return. Toward the end of the season (mid-September), this ride will need to leave earlier (5:45 or 5:30pm), due to evening daylight ending earlier.     Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 45 miles. Meet at Centre Square Park (please park near the bathrooms). The ride leaves at 8:00 am. We will be borrowing one of Howard Hochheiser's very scenic and popular routes. This is a pretty and scenic meander in outer Montgomery County to visit the friendly alpacas at Graceful Glen Farm at Mile 19....they usually come right up to the fence to say "hello" to us. On the outbound, we have a quick bathroom & water break at Fischer's Park on bustard Rd at Mile 11. Please bring snacks with you. On the return from the alpaca farm, we can stop at Hennings Market in Harleysville at Mile 26 for a sit-down lunch stop, if riders prefer. There is also an optional Wawa stop in Skippack at Mile 31. The total elevation gain is rolling, but pretty tame - less than 2000 ft. There are a couple of short, steep climbs, and some longer but less steep climbs. He grew up in West Chester, PA and during his 34-year military career, he fought in the Philippine–American War, the Boxer Rebellion, the Mexican Revolution, World War I, and the Banana Wars. At the time of his death, Butler was the most decorated Marine in U.S. military history. But there's much more to his fascinating story and if you join us, you'll learn about it.     Tue July 29, 2025 - Delightful, Delicious D/D+/C- Summer Evening Rides - Short Loop in the Shade

    Level C- through D: 9.5-11.5mph, 12-15 miles. Meet at Glenside Public Library parking lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. For 7/29: Due to the heat today, this will be a short ride from Glenside Library to Alverthorpe Park, where we can cycle loops around the park trail, which is heavily shaded. Relaxed-pace evening rides on Tuesdays throughout summer. Distance and pace will depend on the riders in our group. (Sunset time will also determine distance.) This ride is suited for novice or returning riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Enjoy pretty and peaceful roads in eastern Montgomery County, pedaling away the stresses of the workday. We usually take a brief rest break mid-ride, depending on distance. Please bring water/Gatorade and a snack with you. Please also bring LIGHTS, in case we have a delay and are returning close to dark.     Wed July 30, 2025 - Early AM Ride to Merrymead Farm for Ice Cream (before the afternoon heat) (ad-hoc ride)

    Level B-: 14mph, 32.8 miles. Meet at Mondauk Park. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Pretty loop from Mondauk Common Park in Ambler to Merrymead Farm in Worcester for ice cream (or other homemade treats). Outbound via Centre Square, return via Blue Bell. Restroom stop if needed at Mile 11 in Centre Square Park. Food stop at Merrymead at Mile 17. Roling terrain, but no extreme climbs. Most of the elevation is before the stop at Merrymead. Total elevation gain is 1765 ft, averaging 54 ft/mile. START/FINISH at Mondauk Common Park: gravel parking lot on Dillon Rd, just north of Susquehanna Rd, near the restrooms.     Level D: 8mph, 18 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. On this hot day, let's go for hot coffee at La Colombe in Fishtown. We will take a short route out and a slightly longer route back. If KYW is reporting rain outside their studio one hour prior to start, ride cancels. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level C- through D: 9-12mph, 24 miles. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. SUGGESTED route for 7/30: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51975104 24 miles, mostly flat, created by Tom Madle. Most summer Wednesday evenings, weather permitting. Gently paced, post-work ride to pedal away stresses, suited for novice or returning riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Peaceful roads Eastern Mont Co, w/brief rest stop. Please bring lights. Preregistration saves you writing time at the start. Meet in parking lot of Flourtown Shop Ctr Bethlehem Pike (McDonald's in front, facing the Pike). In September, as evening daylight shortens, this ride will meet earlier (5:45, then, 5:30). Helmets are required on all club rides. Please also bring two bottles for water/Gatorade, as well as front & rear bike lights. RESTROOMS are available inside GIANT MARKET. Occasionally throughout the summer, we will finish with post-ride refreshments. PUBLIC TRANSIT access to Flourtown: the 94 Bus runs along Bethlehem Pike.     Level C- through D: 10-12.5mph, 15-30 miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 4:00 pm. Earlier start time for 7/31, due to SCU meeting later tonight. Scheduled for most Thursday evenings throughout summer, weather permitting. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away work stresses, suited for novice or returning riders, newcomers to area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Start by riding on Schuylkill River Trail, and/or, Cross County Trail, which connects the Schuylkill w/Plymouth Meeting . As riders get stronger, we can turn off the trails and explore some pretty roads in the area. Please bring LIGHTS in case we return close to dark. Our mileage will be determined by how much evening light we have. Occasionally, this ride may meet earlier in afternoon, due to other event in evening. In mid-September, ride will depart at 5:45 or 5:30, due to earlier sunset. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level B: 15mph, 20 - 35 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. A moderately hilly ride conquering Main Line hills that regroups at the top of each climb. As the days lengthen, so does the ride. No riders doing the listed pace will be dropped. Bike lights are highly recommended. Optional after ride drink Waterworks beer garden - Bring ID. Rain cancellations will be listed on web site up to 1 hour prior to ride. Preregistration requested as it ensures on-time departure. Cue sheets will not be available. The on-line route map is 08/03/23 Hills Ride (no PMA bridge).

A true C version of the Thursday evening hill ride in Gladwyne, which cheerfully waits to regroup at the top of each of the hills climbed. Start time 5:31 in April and September, 6:01 May-August.
