    Level D: 10mph, 22 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. While Tim is vacationing in Palm Springs and Key West, I will be leading the Thursday Hill Rides. Since we did the most difficult of the Hill Rides last week, I will start off with the shortest and easiest, following the usual route, after Mill Creek Park, we will climb Conshockocken State Road (Route 23) and then descend to the Cynwyd Trail and West Laurel Hill Cemetary. Coffee and lunch (veggie and vegan options available) outdoors overlooking the Schuylkill River at The Landing Kitchen (newly opened) at the Pencoyd Bridge. I will cancel the ride at 9 AM if it is raining. I'M ERRING ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION. RAIN IS DUE TO END BETWEEN 10-11. iT MIGHT END EARLIER AND WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET A RIDE IN.     Fri April 2, 2021 - Friday Frolic w/Linda. FLOURTOWN TO SPRINGHOUSE. COVID PRECAUTIONS IN EFFECT

    Level B-: 14mph, 42 miles. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 9:45 am. FOR 4/2: Pretty meander from Flourtown through Montgomery County, for a lunch stop at the Whole Foods Market in Springhouse. (There is also a GIANT Market with a food court in the same plaza. Both markets have outdoor and indoor seating.) Outbound via Plymouth Meeting, Centre Square, and Gwynedd. Lunch stop at Springhouse is at mile 25. Return via Maple Glen and Ft. Washington. Total elevation is 2010 ft. COVID PRECAUTIONS IN EFFECT: Please bring mask and hand sanitizer, and keep mask easily accessible, in case you suddenly need to pull your mask up. Please maintain safe distancing (20 ft apart while cycling, at least 6 ft apart when stopped). Join us for A leisurely mid-week ride to the High Point Cafe at the Allen Lane Train Station, known for their coffee and crepes. out via East Fairmount Park, back via Midvale with a stop at the cafe. OWLS (Older, Wiser, Longer, Slower) paced ride through Fairmount Park and beyond. This ride is for more experienced D riders. We might have some hills and longer distances than the typical D Ride. We will allow recovery breathing and regrouping at the top of any hill. Please bring helmet and masks (required by the club). Please bring extra tube, water, sunscreen, and $ for mid-ride snack stop.     Sat April 3, 2021 - Rivers, Creeks & Bridges in Hunterdon County (COVID-19 Precautions in Effect) (ad-hoc ride)

    Level B-: 14mph, 58 miles. Meet at CVS Parking lot (299 N. Main Street, Lambertville, NJ). The ride leaves at 9:45 am. For 3/27: Weather forecast includes partial sunshine and mild temps in the afternoon. Pretty and peaceful meander around scenic Hunterdon County, NJ, with multiple river crossings. Wawa stops at Mile 16 and 33. Option to make another stop if needed at QuickChek at Mile 51 in Ringoes, on the return. Total climbing is 2992 ft, with plenty of green vistas and quaint towns. COVID-19 mitigation strategies in effect: Please bring a mask and hand sanitizer with you. We will practice safe social distancing (20 ft apart while riding, at least 6 ft apart when stopped). Out 11 miles via East Fairmount Park, Strawberry Mansion Bridge, Bryn Mawr Ave, Rock Hill Road and the Cynwyd Heritage Trail; back 6 miles via Pencoyd Bridge, Falls Bridge, the Strawberry Mansion Bridge and East Fairmount Park.     Level Tandem: 12-13mph, 25 miles. Meet at Valley Forge National Park - Betzwood Picnic Area (by bathrooms). The tandem ride leaves at 10:00 am. 25 mile ride on the SRT from Betzwood Picnic area to Shawmont Station and back. Easy Spring tandem warm up ride with only 600 ft of climb. Singles also welcome. Bring snacks and water for a rest stop at Shawmont Station before heading back to Betzwood. Ride will leave promptly at the posted ride time. No drops. Bring yer bike & sense of adventure (sometimes familiar routes, sometimes new ones). Expect good company on safe/low trafficked roads. Lunch stops may be sit down, takeout, or in a park (bring a sandwich/snack). Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace.     Level C- through D: 11-12.5mph Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. from Lloyd Hall (No. 1 Boathouse Row) in Philadelphia to REI (outdoor equipment, clothing and bike shop) at Ridge and Butler Pike in Plymouth Township. out 18 miles via Chestnut Hill; back 13 miles via River Road and MLK. The Plymouth Square Shopping Center is home to Dunkin Donuts, Tony Roni Pizza, Saladworks, QDOBA Mexican Eats, Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant, Five Guys, and Weis's Market. We'll ride out, spend an hour at the center, then ride back. A few hills on the way out, mostly downhill and flat on the return. Helmet and mask are required.     Sat April 10, 2021 - Holicong Park to Frenchtown, NJ via Sky Manor Airport (ad-hoc ride) COVID PRECAUTIONS in EFFECT

    Level B-: 14mph, 56 miles. Meet at Holicong Park, Buckingham. The ride leaves at 9:45 am. Pretty meander through Bucks and Hunterdon Counties. This route is adapted from an original route by Bob Scharles. From Holicong Park in Buckingham, cross the river on the Solebury-Stockton Bridge. Quick rest break Stockton grocery store at Mile 12 or Sergeantsville at Mile 16. Cycle through wide-open green landscapes in Hunterdon County to Sky Manor Airport, then head down to Frenchtown. Lunch stop in Frenchtown at Mile 32. Return to PA via Kingwood and the Bulls Island Bridge. If another rest break is needed on the return, we can stop at the Lumberville Store at Mile 47, before Fleecydale. Total climbing 3500 ft. Scenery will also include some peaceful creeks.     Level C- through D: 11-13mph, 23.2 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:03 pm. IF THE RAIN STOPS BY 11 AM, THE RIDE IS ON. This is a ride in-between the D and C ride categories for those who want to step up from our Sunny Sunday D rides but who aren'te quite ready for a Sunday C ride. On April 25th we'll head over the river and through the woods (over the Ban Franklin Bridge and through the woods along the Cooper River) to historic Haddonfield NJ, where we'll stop for 20-30 minutes at the high street (King's Hwy.). There is a Saxby's Cafe, an ice cream shop, a British shop and a statue of the famous Camden County Hadrosaurus, discovered nearby in 1858. A helmet and a mask are required. BCP COVID-19 protocols are still in effect. New riders are welcome. In future weeks the Sunday C Spinoff will become the c- ride and we'll add a c+ Sunday ride.     Level C: 12mph, 30 miles. Meet at Town Center parking lot, 25 south main st, yardley, pa, 19067. The ride leaves at 1:00 pm. Easy-paced, flat ride on the canal towpath from Yardley, Bucks County north to Washington Crossing. Cross over to NJ, then meander up to Stockton. Rest stop at the quaint grocery store/cafe on Bridge St in Stockton at the midway point. Recross the river, then head south on the PA canal towpath. Trail/gravel bikes are best suited for towpath, but road bikes can handle this surface. Avoiding River Rd today, especially around New Hope/Lambertville, due to Sunday traffic. Mainly flat terrian - only 455 ft climbing. PRECAUTIONS in effect: please bring masks and hand sanitizer Please maintain safe distancing - 20 ft apart while cycling, and >6 ft apart when stopped.     Levels A-/B+: 16-17mph, B-: 13.5-14.5mph, C+/C: 12.5-13.5mph, 47 miles. Meet at Central Park, Doylestown. The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Bring yer bike & sense of adventure. Some days we'll ride familiar favorite routes, other days we'll scope out new routes. Today we'll be riding to Lambertville, looping thru NJ and returning from Lumberville. Expect good company, no huge climbs (but a number of steady uphill sections), and lots of scenic country roads. Our rest stop is in Lambertville at mile 19 (art center on the side street opposite CVS). Our lunch stop is at mile 34 at the Lumberville General Store.     Level Tandem: 12-13mph, 27 miles. Meet at Valley Forge National Park - Betzwood Picnic Area (by bathrooms). The tandem ride leaves at 10:00 am. Weekly tandem ride with singles welcome. This week we will go north from the Betzwood parking area onto the Perkiomen Trail, continue on the PT to the connection with the Skippack Trail, the SKT will take us into Evansburg State Park, we will loop through Evansburg and onto area roads which will bring us back to the PT and then back to Betzwood. We will take a short snack and bathroom break in Evansburg SP. Note that the PT has about 8 miles of gravel riding. It is mostly hard packed fine gravel suitable for 28mm or larger tires. The total climb is 836 feet. Bring snacks and water for rest stop. Ride will leave promptly at the posted ride time. No drops. Preregistration greatly preferred, but not required..     Levels C- through D: 11.5-12.5mph, 50 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 9:30 am. A fifty mile ride from Lloyd Hall (No. 1 Boathouse Row) near the Philadelphia Museum of Art to Valley Forge National Historic Park. We'll stop for a bathroom break at mile 17 and a small lunch at the Cabin Gift Shop (and cafe) in Valley Forge NHP. at mile 26. This is the fourth of five progressively longer Friday step-up rides for BCP D group riders, leading up to the Art Museum to Malvern metric century ride on Friday, May 7. The route is mostly flat (1,400 ft of climbing) with some hills in valley Forge NHP. Other riders are welcome to join us for this or any of the Friday rides. Helmet and mask are required.
