The weekend includes a variety of rides, both along the shore and inland, including a ride across the Cape May Ferry and through Cape Henlopen State Park to to Rehobeth Beach, Delaware; a Jersey Shore Metric (100 km, 62.7 mi.) featuring the Cold Spring and Middle Township Bike Paths (paved) and several oceanfront communities; a barrier islands and bridges tour north along the coast; a ride inland to local produce stands; and more.

The registration fee for the event includes: Saturday Full Breakfast Buffet, Sunday Full Breakfast Buffet, Saturday Dinner, organized rides, route files, cue sheets, snacks, beverages, other incidentals … and a free name tag!

A popular local band, Chatterbox, will be performing the best of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s pop hits Saturday from 9 pm to 1 am in the onsite Blue Water Grille, free to all BCP Cycling at the Shore Weekend participants

Massages are available by appointment in the Bolero’s roof top Spa. The glass-enclosed roof top facility (7th floor) also has a workout room with over 50 well-equipped stations, an indoor pool, two large hot tubs, and a steam room/sauna. The Bolero’s outdoor pool should still be open for the season. … and the Atlantic Ocean is about a block away.

The Bolero has a bar and restaurant on site. The Bolero is located in the heart of Wildwood, just a block from the Wildwood beach, Morey’s Pier, and the Wildwood boardwalk.

Dairy Queen, Widlwood Honky Tonk Saloon, Ed’s Funcade, Splash Zone Water Park, Dragon’s Lair Minigolf, Seaport Aquarium, The Boardwalk Shopping Mall, Hooked on Books, Mitch’s Family Bakery, Dunkin' Donuts, Laura’s Fudge, The Red Oak Buffet, The Doo Wop Diner, Max’s Pizza, It’s Sugar Wildwood Candy Shop, Pirates of Wildwood Miniature Golf, St Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, and more are all within a 10-minute walk of the Bolero. There is plenty to see and do – in addition to cycling – for riders and non-riders alike here and in the surrounding shore towns and countryside.

Costs for the Weekend

The fee for the event is in two parts -- a $110 event registration fee (payable to BCP), and the room reservation fee, payable to the hotel. Total costs including the room and event fee for Saturday and Sunday night ,vary depending on room type and number of occupants. The total including the event fee and room fee ranges from $232 per person in a triple occupancy deluxe room (with three beds) to $478 for single occupancy in a large efficiency with it’s own kitchenette and sitting area. We expect most people will pay a total cost of $283 per person in a double occupancy deluxe room, with TV, refrigerator and microwave. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms. All rooms will be on the first and second floor of the Bolero’s motel, behind the 7-story hotel building and away from Atlantic Avenue. Please register by August 25, 2024 to receive a 10% discount for rooms in the BCP block of rooms.

How to Register

  1. Guests first register and pay the event fee to BCP online. As part of the process, they will be given an access code to book rooms from our block of rooms at a 10% discount.
  2. Rooms are then booked by having one person from each room call the hotel to make the reservation.

The event is only open to BCP members and their guests. (An annual BCP membership may be purchased anytime for $20, $10 for students.) Click here to learn more about BCP membership.

Space is limited, but more rooms might be available if we reach capacity. Rooms will be allocated on a first come-first served basis, so the choice of rooms will narrow over time. Registration will be open from August 1 through Sunday August 25th. After that, we cannot guarantee rooms will be available at the discounted rates.
