The houses are large and old, and the plantings are green, even in winter.Our destination for today is the Happy Wok, featuring thirty-one specials at $4.75. You can also choose from: a deli, a pizzeria, or a family restaurant. This will be a slow ride. Going out, there will be a few ups and downs, but not hilly. Returning will be almost flat.

We' take the R6 from Thirtieth Street Station to the Norristown Transportation Center. Then we will bike slowly four miles to Betzwood Bridge (Plank Bridge, 2x4 bridge) on the flat bike path to meet Arnie and Steeve at 9:45 on the north side of the bridge. The R6 departs at 8:20 from 30th St. Station. Sit anywhere. We will assemble on the platform at the Norristown Transportation Center at 9:03. Allow enough time to buy your ticket Remember, the food comes at the end of the ride, don't start with an empty stomach.

Thun Trail to Reading
Level All Classes, 35 miles. the parking lot of Montgomery County Community College (West Campus) on the Industrial HW, near Hanover St. in Pottstown.. The ride leaves at 10:00 am.

A couple of sections are connected by surface roads. Road bikes are ok, so are hybrids. Optional lunch at the Queen City Diner. Along the way, we will visit the Allegheny Creek Aqueduct near Gibraltar. The aqueduct carried Schuylkill canal boats over Allegheny Creek. The fully restored aqueduct (on the National Register of Historical Places) was built in 1824 and continued in use until 1931. Multi-club ride. No one dropped. Stops to regroup as needed.
