Delightful, Delicious Saturday D Ride
Level D, 9-12 mph, 10-20 miles. Formal entrance to the Azalea Garden, next to the Italian Fountain, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:00 am.

Leader: Richard L. Wagner, , 267-738-6405Crossing multiple covered bridges. Travelling through the beautiful Oley Valley. A sit down lunch stop in the quaint town of Oley. Even a rest stop at a chocolatier. This is one of the nicest bike rides in SE Pennsylvania. The route consists of some tough climbing the first and last 15 miles, with flat to easy rollers the middle 30. We will meet in the French Creek Lake boat launch parking area. Near the Ranger Station.

Great route, generally rolling hills, with some climbs, but nothing too outlandish. Mix of park and convenience store stops, so bring plenty of liquids and food. After about 10 miles of riding, we will stop at the Centennial Cafe in the Ohio House at State and Belmont in West Fairmount Park for a lunch/rest break. We will spend about 30 minutes at this lovely and bike friendly cafe (http://thecentennialcafe.com/MENU.htm). We will pause to regroup gladly at the top of each of the three hills. Expect to spend about 3 hours total once we depart from the Azalea Garden; bring money for lunch. Hope to see you there.

"Night Lights" Road Bike Ride: Conshohocken to Philly Art Museum

We have 3 different groups (C, B and B+) which ride between 12 and 18 mph. We typically get @ 25 riders on warm nights. We meet 6pm at the SEPTA lot (E. Elm and Harry St.) in Conshohocken, PA. We leave the lot 6:15 sharp and head to the Philly Art Museum area via Roxboro, Manyunk and East Falls. A short cut (cutting out Hawk Mountain) is optional. FYI: The Valley Preffered Cycle Center is the former Lehigh Valley Velodrome.

Adopt-A-Highway Road Cleanup and Ride

No other commercial establishments along the route. Many wooded roads, including beautiful Lower Creek Rd. Hopefully there will be some fall colors left. The valley has a strong Pennsylvania Dutch and historical heritage, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. http://www.livingplaces.com/PA/Berks_County/Oley_Township/Oley_Township_Historic_District.html. One of the Valleys early residents was Mordecai Lincoln, the great-grandfather of Abraham Lincoln. Daniel Boone was born in Oley in 1734. Sit down lunch in the village of Oley. No one dropped.
Strausstown Multi-level Ride (ad-hoc ride)
Level B/B-, 14-15 mph, 56 miles. Strausstown, PA. PA-183 just north of I-78, on the left across from Sickafus Sheepskins. The ride leaves at 10:00 am.

Blue Mountain looms on the horizon for most of the ride, until the end, when a climb up Big Blue ends in a screaming descent to the parking lot. This ride features very low traffic roads, beautiful scenery, a flat first 20 miles, biplanes, Sikh and Hindu places of worship, a scenic wooded climb and a ride-leader catered rest stop. This version of the ride does NOT climb Blue Mountain, but instead climbs Little Mountain, a much shorter and easier climb. If you've always wanted to try one of the far-out rides, but were troubled by the riding distance or mountain climb, this is your chance! This ride features very low traffic roads, beautiful scenery, biplanes, a Sikh place of worship, and a ride-leader catered rest stop. Delightful, Delicious Saturday D Ride
Level D, 9 -12 mph, 21-25 miles. Cheltenham Ave and Broad Steet. . The ride leaves at 12:00 pm.

We will see all the great churches, Universities, and stately mansions and brownstone row homes. We will travers Philadelphia's grant history! Returning on the subway from the Paterson Ave station to Olnoey Ave staion, cycling the remainder back to the start.
