Outbound via North Wales, return via Warrington and Maple Glen. Quick Wawa stop if needed at mile 20 in North Wales. Lunch stop at Wegman's at mile 28. On the return, there is another Wawa at mile 41, if needed. Total climbing 2175 feet. Cue sheets will be provided. We will stop to regroup as needed, but try to maintain the advertised pace. Hike the Wissahickon - Southern end of Valley Green
Hike ALL are welcome, 2.5 to 3 mph, 6.5 to 8.5 miles. Walnut Lane Gold Course - gravel parking lot on the opposite side of Magdalena St.. The hike leaves at 9:30 am.

We'll cross the Wissahickon near the falls at Ridge Ave, then turn north on the other side of the creek. Connect with the Orange Trail on the return. We'll be on the flat Forbidden Drive part of the time. After the hike, there are some nearby eateries on Henry Ave for a group lunch. Well-behaved canine hikers are always welcome to join us. Pre-registration has been set up here for your convenience. Pre-registering is not required, but it does save you writing time at the starting point, and it helps the Co-Leaders by ensuring that your contact information is printed neatly.

Outbound via Flourtown, Ft. Washington, and Maple Glen. Return via Warminster, Horsham, and Oreland. Total climbing 1814 ft. St. Martins train station is on West Willow Grove Ave near Seminole St. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Scenic, 35-ish mile loop, usually through Montgomery County or Lower Bucks, with a brief rest stop. Unless otherwise stated, this winter afternoon ride will meet most Sundays at Bruno's Diner (finishing point for many of the Sunday morning Wissahickon hikes). Instead of Bruno's, we may on occasion meet at another location in Chestnut Hill. We will stop to regroup if needed, but try as much as possible to maintain 13-15mph, due to short daylight. Plan is to return before 5:00pm. Please bring LIGHTS, just in case we return in the nick of time. Please ensure that your bike is ready before start time, so that we can leave promptly. Specific details will be posted for each Sunday's Route. Scheduled for EVERY Sunday throughout the winter (for the duration of the hiking season), weather permitting, EXCEPT for the last Sunday in February. (Leader will be away cross-country skiing.) This ride will resume on the first Sunday of March. If winter weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a snow activity, e.g., cross-country skiing or snow-shoeing. As long as we keep moving throughout the winter, we will maintain our base fitness level for the return of spring cycling in mid-March.

We ride to Limerick and travel the Schuylkill River Trail (SRT) back to quaint, downtown Phoenixville, and the Polish-American Club for a late Leprechaun breakfast/brunch, followed by a short, flat ride home. (There are a number of eateries/cafes/coffee shops nearby, if you don’t want a full meal) No one dropped. Route may be shortened to 21 miles if the Leprechaun makes nasty with the weather. A physical therapist will present "spring training" exercises to maximize physical fitness and stamina, with less fatigue. A bike mechanic will present spring cleaning & tune-up essentials for our bikes to maximize performance and energy-effiiciency. The mechanic will also display accessories which are helpful for the fickle weather in spring, when it's cool in the morning, but warm in the afternoon. "Happy Half-Hour" begins at 6:30pm for refreshments and socializing, and the program begins at 7:00. There will be a brief intermission between presentations for refreshments and socializing. PARKING is available across the street in the municipal garage. Parking is FREE after 6:00pm. PUBLIC TRANSIT: The venue is one block from the Cynwyd train station. Two start locations, 52 mile length, Penn Treaty Park, Delaware Ave and Beach Street, 9am, and 32 mile length, Pennypack on the Delaeare, State Road and Rhawn St. Surprisingly the trail in Philadelphia is hilly but the trail portion in Montgomery County uses the old Fox Chase-New Town rail bed, which is no greater than a 2% grade. But it is down hill all the way back. There is a hot dog cart at Pine Rd and another refreshment stand on the rail trail. Early Bird Ride to Coffee in Flourtown, Truncated Edition (ad-hoc ride)
Level B: 15mph, 40 +/- miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 7:25 am. Cue sheets will not be available.
Leader: Jeffrey Braff, , 215-837-2808Assemble at 7:25 AM. Depart at 7:30 SHARP. Ride through East Falls, Wyndmoor, Fourtown, Militia Hill, Manayunk, and Bala Cynwyd. Several hills but no killers. 30-minute coffee stop in Flourtown. (It's all about the coffee!). Will regroup at top of hills if necessary, but riders are expected to maintain posted speed (what our computers read upon ride completion). MUST PREREGISTER. If no one preregisters, no ride.
Philly Diner, Essington, PA
Level D: 10mph, 30 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. Cue sheets will not be available.
Leader: Tim Carey, , 267-414-9037Essington, PA is just South of the Philadelphia International Airport. I noticed the Philly Diner on a ride to the city of Chester. Let's check it out and if that fails there is a Danny's next door. We will return by going around the back side of the airport along the Delaware River and checking out the progress of the refurbishment of the Passyunk Draw Bridge over the Schuylkill River, then up 22nd Street to our start location.
Memory Lane
Level B-: 14mph, 43 miles. Meet at Wilson Farm park: Lee Rd and Wilson Rd. The ride leaves at 9:00 am.
Leader: Michael Fuller, , 610-551-8256Scenic route that begins and ends on the Chester Valley Trail. A couple of climbs, but since it is early in the season, we will keep the pace moderate. Out through Exton and Downingtown and back.
Main Line Cycles Brisk Ride

Leader: Linda McGrane, , 267-251-7862Pretty route from Flourtown to the Wegman's Food Court in Montgomeryville for lunch at the half-way point. Outbound via Ambler, Gwynedd, and North Wales. Sit-down lunch stop at Wegman's at mile 25. Return via Wrenfield, Maple Glen, and Fort Washington. Total climbing is pretty tame - 1918 feet.
