    Delightful, Delicious D (& D+/C-) Ride, Monday Evening Edition

    Level C- through D: 10-11.5mph, 15-28 miles. Meet at Upper Dublin High School. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Scheduled for most Monday evenings throughout the summer. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the day's stresses, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity, relaxed, recovery ride. Cycle peaceful roads in Eastern Montgomery Co. Mileage will depend on the length of evening daylight. Please bring lights in case we are delayed on our return. Occasionally, this ride may be cancelled, if there is a special Tailgate event at the COS ride in Wayne on the same date.


    Church of the Saviour Multi-Level Rides

    Levels A through D: 10-20mph, 10-40 miles. Meet at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Cue sheets will be available.

    Come ride with the largest evening cycling group in the Delaware Valley ( over 100 riders). We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group up to our "A" group. All rides start 6pm sharp and finish at sunset ( the Hybrid group finishes at 7:30). We also have post-ride socials at the Great American Pub in Wayne as well as two "tailgate" nights in the COS lot. We have experienced ride leaders and sweep riders so no one gets lost! We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.). Rain cancels the ride but look at Meetup for last minute updates when weather is questionable.

    RIDE YER BIKE TUESDAY

    Bring yer bike & sense of adventure. Some days we'll ride familiar favorite routes, other days we'll scope out new routes. After a rest stop at mile 16, and then a biscotti stop (if you like biscotti's, bring $5 and a plastic bag -https://buckscountybiscotti.com/pages/honorstand), we'll ride to Pizza Time Saloon in West Point (mile 36.5) for a bite to eat. Two hills of note: Iron Hill (short & steep - but not short enough, lol) and Callowhill (long and gradual, not steep). Otherwise, lots of nice low traffic and scenic roads. Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace. Must be willing to ride safely & obey traffic laws.Check day of the ride if weather is iffy (rain cancels). RIDE STARTS @ 9:30 September. THE LAST RIDE OF THE MONTH STARTS FROM CENTRAL PARK, DOYLESTOWN.


    Suzy-Jo Donut Ride to the Riverbend Cafe, not to be confused by the Cafe at Riverbend. (ad-hoc ride)

    Tuesdays are Suzy-Jo Donut day at Riverbend Cafe without needing to go on to Bridgeport, PA. This morning's route will go out Bryn Mar Ave, the Cynwd Heritage Trail, over Manayunk Trail Bridge, along the Manayunk Canal Tow Path and SRT to Riverbend Cafe and Bicycle Shop. Return via the Cross Country Trail, Plymouth Meeting loop, a stop at REI to look at/buy a new pair of cycling shoes. Independence sale ends July 4th. Back down River Rd. We ride to eat donuts.

    Bulldog

Meet in same parking lot as "Multi-Paced Rides" listed above. Rear of lot, near Giant Market. (LANDMARK: Flourtown Shopping Ctr has McDonald's in the front, facing Bethlehem Pike.) Please bring LIGHTS in case we return close to dark. Cue sheets will not be available. Please note: One Wednesday per month (usually the second Wed), Linda cannot lead this ride, due to BCP Board meeting -will try to arrange another leader on Board meeting nights.


    Flourtown Wednesday Ride 15-16 mph average

    Phoenixville Dog Park Rides

    Daylight rides on beautiful low-traffic roads. Rolling to hilly terrain. Lights not required, but not a bad idea to be prepared. No one dropped, but please be prepared to ride the advertised pace.

    Green Lane Park to Emmaus via Upper Frederick Township, then, return to Green Lane to join George's "Hot Dog Ride" group (ad-hoc ride)

    Levels B: 14-15mph, B-: 13-14mph, 46 miles. Meet at Green Lane Park, Deep Creek and Snyder Roads. The ride leaves at 8:15 am. Cue sheets will be available. The on-line route map is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30438290.

    Pretty loop from Green Lane Park and Reservoir through Upper Montgomery, Bucks, and Lehigh Counties. Food stop at Weis Market at Mile 20 in Emmaus, then, a water stop on the return at Mile 33. Total elevation gain is 2626 ft, per ridewithgps.com. Most of the climbing is in the middle of the route. The last 15 miles are mostly flat or downhill. When we return to Green Lane Park, we'll join George Yarnell's "Hot Dog Ride" group for the holiday picnic. If you plan to stay for the picnic, please pre-register, and/or RSVP to one of the Leaders, so that we can plan for the proper amount of food. Mike & Lisa will lead at a 14-15mph pace, and Linda will lead or sweep at 13-14.


    2019 SSC Outer Loop

    Level B-/C+: 13.5-14mph, 44 miles. Meet at Heebner Park. The ride leaves at 8:30 am. Cue sheets will be available.

    MEET IN HEEBNER ROAD PARKING LOT! (Heebner Park is a big place with multiple parking lots). Moderately paced ride through northwestern Montgomery County. We will follow the route of the 2019 Scenic Schuylkill Century ride which will take place September 8. We divert from the route for 2.5 miles to make a WAWA stop at mile 24 (it will be a warm day).


    4th of July Hot Dog Ride

    Level D: 9-12mph, 45 miles. Meet at Valley Forge National Park - Betzwood Picnic Area (by bathrooms). The ride leaves at 9:30 am.

    Ride along the SRT to the Perkiomen Trail to Green Lane Park in Montgomery County. Nothing like a barbecue on a nice summer Holliday. Bring plenty of water, extra tube, helmet (required by club) The route has long sections of crushed stone. There is a tough section that goes over Spring Mountain. But walking and resting are allowed. Preregistration is required so that there will be enough supplies for the picnic in the park. A cancellation notice will be sent to each preregister rider if weather is not cooperating.


    CANCELLED UDHS to Green Lane Park, to connect with George's 4th of July Hot Dog Ride (ad-hoc ride)

    Level B-: 14mph, 48-50 miles. Meet at Upper Dublin High School. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Cue sheets will be available.

    CANCELLED, due to afternoon heat, riding back after the picnic, with the chance of a thunderstorm. This ride will be replaced with an early morning ride, leaving from and returning to Green Lane Park. Ride from Upper Dublin High School to Green Lane Park, to meet George's group for the 4th of July holiday BBQ. Route will be posted by 6/30. Please RSVP by 6:00pm on 7/3, so that we can plan the appropriate amount of foods & beverages for the picnic at Green Lane.


    CANCELLED Thursday Night Hill Ride

    Levels B: 15mph, B-/C+: 14mph, 25 -35 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Cue sheets will not be available.

    A moderately hilly ride conquering 3 Main Line hills that regroups at the top of each climb. As the days lengthen, so does the ride and we should be nearing 30 - 35 miles by July. No riders doing the listed pace will be dropped. 50% chance of rain between 6:00 and 8:00 cancels the ride Cue sheets will not be available. Two different paced groups: Simon will lead a B pace ride at 14.5 - 15.5 mph and Gene will lead the traditional pace at 13.5 -14.5 mph. Bike lights are highly recommended. Optional after-ride drinks at local beer gardens (bring ID & money).


    CANCELLED Conshohocken Multi-Level Rides

    Levels A-/B+: 16.5-17.5mph, B/B-: 14.5-15.5mph, C+: 13-14mph, 20-30+ miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Meet at 5:45 for a prompt start. Note that there aren't any bathroom facilities. We offer 3 paces on a variety of routes on relatively lightly traveled roads. Most will have some hills. Distance will vary with the pace and available daylight. Please bring a rear light for use at dusk, and preferably a front light too. Will regroup as needed, but please be prepared to maintain the ride's advertised pace. Must also be willing to ride safely and obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride for possible changes or cancellations (rain cancels), and if a certain pace is not available. NOTE: START TIME IN SEPT. IS 5:45.

    8th Annual One-Day Multi-Level Ride to Ocean City, NJ

    Level B-/C+: 14mph, 88 miles. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 7:00 am. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Details IMPORTANT RIDE INFORMATION / PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! This is a ONE-WAY / ONE-DAY ride. There is a $5 fee to do this ride which covers the cost of rest-stop snacks and beverages and sag vehicle gas. Pay Tom Madle at the Flourtown location or Howard Hochheiser at the Cinnaminson location. Your final destination is hotel Luray Manor, located at 501 E. 7th St., Ocean City, NJ 08226 (609-399-5260). Ask for the owner "Ruth" if you're looking for overnight accommodations. A 2-night minimum rental might apply since this is prime vacation season. For those riders who don't plan to sleep over at Luray Manor, soap and a towels are provided at Luray Manor for $6 per person. If you need a shower at the end of the ride text either me (Tom Madle, 215-233-2578) or Howard Hochheiser, 215-913-3246, and pay us in advance with exactly $6 (we don't provide change!). Tom will be at the Flourtown location and Howard will be at the Cinnaminson location. Small overnight bag transportation is available in the "sag vehicle" leaving 7 am from the Flourtown ride location and 8:45 am from the Cinnaminson location.Give your overnight bags to Tom Madle who will be driving the SAG vehicle. We don't have space in the sag vehicle for large suitcases only small pack-backs or overnight bags. You must provide your own transportation back to either Flourtown, Cinnaminson or Hammonton or work out return transportation with other riders who might be meeting family or friends who have driven down to Ocean City. Some riders sleep over in Ocean City and ride their bikes back either Saturday or Sunday. Some riders head back the same day by riding an additional 15 miles to Atlantic City, taking the Atlantic City train to 30th St. train station in Philadelphia and then the Chestnut Hill train to Chestnut Hill which is 3 miles from the Flourtown Shopping Center. RIDE GROUP DETAILS / START LOCATIONS: Numerous ride groups and start locations are available with ride paces ranging between 14 and 20 mph. You must be able to maintain at least a 14 mph pace which is the slowest ride group. Remember this is a relatively flat ride. The 86 mile ride groups meet 6:45 AM (7:00 ride start) at the Flourtown Shopping Center (1842 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, PA 19031). It's a short 2 mile ride from the Hammonton train station to the Silver Coin Diner. The various ride leaders will eventually post their rides with specific details about their particular ride. This initial BCP Meet-up posting is designed to inform you about the ride date and give you general details about the ride.     Flourtown to Ocean City, Special One-Day, One-Way Trek to the Shore for the Holiday

    Annual Ride to Ocean City, NJ from Cinnaminson, NJ

    Level B/B-: 15-16mph, 66 miles. Meet at Wood Park - Cinnaminson, NJ. The ride leaves at 8:45 am. Cue sheets will be available. The on-line route map is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29972969.

    This is the short description for the Ocean City Ride, one of the summer highlights for many. Please see the main listing for important details, such as to bring money (exact please) for SAG ($5) and showers ($6) if taking one at the finish, and other necessary logistical information. Note the new start location, Wood Park in Cinnaminson (806 Pomona Rd.). Wood Park is right around the corner from the route, has ample parking and bathrooms. Please be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early to ensure a prompt start. Please park close to the road so that we are good neighbors and allow day users convenient access to all the park has to offer. We will safely, and as a group; which means if you are ahead of the ride leader you are on your own ride, but also that we will happily regroup as needed (please be prepared to ride the listed average pace). The route is flat, other than going over a bridge to enter Ocean City.

Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk, or snow activity. As long as we are enjoying outdoor exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing.

    Great roads with low traffic. We have a few routes that bring us out around or through Ridley Creek State Park. Average speed will be 16-17 mph, but note that these routes include over 4000' of climbing. Bring a snack for a brief mid-ride break. Consider the on-line routes approximate. Leave by 8:05 AM.     Toss of the dice - Hot Weather Special - Slushie Ride

    Now that the Ben Franklin Bridge is completely ADA accessible, let's cycle to Barrington, NJ for a late Breakfast at the Barrington Cafe.


    BELMAR BEACH, NJ and Beyond, up to Ocean Grove and Asbury Park

    Level B-: 14mph, 79 miles. Meet at Etra Lake Park, Disbrow Hill Rd, East Windsor, NJ. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. Cue sheets will be available. The on-line route map is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/23056316.

    In a seashore state of mind? Today, we'll visit the central Jersey shore in Monmouth County, beaches more familiar to New Yorkers. This scenic route is popular with the Princeton FreeWheelers. In addition to cycling along Ocean Drive in the pretty seaside towns of Spring Lake and Belmar, we’ll also ride around Perrineville Lake, Manasquan Reservoir, and Lake Como. Lunch stop at Belmar Beach around mile 40, plus rest stops along the way, to and from Belmar. After Belmar, we will continue north along the Ocean Drive to the seashore towns of Ocean Grove and Asbury Park, before returning inland to the starting point. Optional stop for ice cream at the famous Nagles restaurant & ice cream parlor in Ocean Grove at mile 45. The middle of the route (near the beach) is flat. The beginning and end portions have very gently rolling hills, but nothing steep. We will stop to regroup as needed. Total elevation gain is 2265 ft. REVISED Directions to the starting point at Etra Lake Park: 1) New Jersey Turnpike North to Exit 8 – Hightstown/Freehold (NJ-133). Turnpike exit/toll lanes have been renovated and shifted..... 2) From the Turnpike exit ramp, quickly turn right onto Milford Rd. 3) In 1.1 miles, turn left at “T” at County Rd 571/Etra-Perrineville Rd.     DOWN THE SHORE for the Holiday - Stone Harbor to Millville, 88mi (or, 51mi short-cut)

    Mostly flat route from Stone Harbor/Avalon inland to Belleplain and Millville, then back to the shore. Mike Krizauskas of BCP, SCU, and the Jersey Shore Cycling Club developed these routes. We will ride past Laurel Lake, cross the Maurice River, and ride through Belleplain State Forest and pass peaceful Lake Nummy. Total climbing for the 88-mi route is 1011 feet. No one dropped, but we will try to maintain the advertised pace. Rest stops along the way at mile 32 (Wawa), mile 44 (Wawa) and mile 68 (Lake Nummy).     Today we'll ride the SRT to the Perkiomen Trail up to Spring Mount. Park lunch break on the return (mile 20) at Central Perkiomen Valley Park, so be sure to bring snacks and/or lunch. Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure a prompt start. The ride will be a mix of dirt, gravel, loose rocks and paved trail. Much of the ride is pretty flat until we hit some rolling hills a bit before our turnaround, plus one steep but short hill (its okay to walk it). Best suited for a gravel, cyclocross or hybrid bike, or a road bike with wide tires and a rider who doesn't mind a few rougher sections here and there. Leisurely speed - will regroup as needed. Photo-op stops are welcome. We expect to list an off-road ride weekly on Thursdays, starting from either Betzwood (going up either the SRT or the Perkiomen) or the New Hope/Lambertville area (exploring both sides of the Delaware River).     New route, scenic and pretty, from Parkside Place Park in Upper Gwynedd to the OWowCow Creamery in Wrightstown, Bucks County. The outbound portion will include the 202 Parkway Trail, and the return will include the Horsham Power Line trail. At mile 12, we can take a quick bathroom/snack break if needed at the Del Val College Market on Lower State Rd in Doylestown. The ice cream & lunch stop is at mile 28. There is an organic food market, a country store (sandwich shop/deli), and a pizzeria/Italian restaurant near the creamery in the same complex. On the return, at mile 38, we can stop at Wawa for water, etc. The middle portion of this route is particularly green and peaceful, and crosses two creeks (Jericho and Neshaminy. MEETING POINT: Parkside Place Park on Sumneytown Pike is across the street from the huge Merck building. Meet in the parking lot across from the public swimming pool.     This picturesque route was developed by BCP/SCU member Charlie Brandt, who also belongs to the Lancaster Bike Club. Thanks, Charlie, for the pretty route! Scenic Lancaster County ride, starts at Salisbury Township Community Park (Gap Park) , 750 White Horse Rd., Gap, PA 17527, just off route 30. This park is only 37 minutes west of King of Prussia. The park has spacious parking lots and a restroom. A Speedway/Dunkin Donuts is adjacent to the park and a Wawa is nearby. Total elevation gain is 3000 feet - most of the hills are in the first twenty miles. The middle and final portions of the route are pretty gentle. The route includes the stunning Creek Road along Octoraro Creek, several breathtaking descents with magnificent views, and stops at the Bird-in-Hand Bake Shop and Lapp Valley Farm. Only one covered bridge, but includes the most scenic roads of the county. There is a new rest stop added at mile 15 (as per Charlie's 11/9 revision), at mile 23 (bakery & roadside stand), a bakery at mile 30, and a Sheetz convenience store at mile 32 with indoor & outdoor seating in Smoketown. On the return, at mile 45, there is a dairy farm & creamery. TWO LEADERS, TWO PACES: Dan will lead a 15-16 mph group, and Linda will lead 13.5 to 15.


    Hills out West -Valley Forge Metric Century with Coffee, Ice Cream, & Beer

    Consider this the next step up from the Toss of the DIce "C+", further (50 - 70 miles) and with more hills (3000 - 5000). The average speed (measured at end of ride) is likely to be 14.5 - 15.5 mph, it is the hills that push this into the B category. We will regroup as needed, but riders are expected to ride group pace. The week we will do Ryan Sullivan's Metric Century Route to Valley Forge. This ride has 3,000 ft of climbing. Coffee stop at 26 miles, Italian ice at 53 miles, and end of ride beer at Cosmic Cafe, boat house row. Bring spare tube. Ride may be cancelled up to 1 hour prior to departure time.

    I'm riding to the Carranza memorial, Multimodal. Boarding NJT Atlantic City train #4671, leaving 30th st. station at 10:02 am. Arriving Atco station at 10:48. Biking to join Tim Carey's group at the 1pm service at the Carrenza memorial in Wharton state forest. This service has been conducted annually since 1929 in honor of an early aviation pioneer Emilio Carranza, who was known as the Mexican Lindbergh. He crashed at the site in 1928. If you want to join me, meet me on the boarding platform at 30th st. or at the Atco NJT station. Be sure to buy your ticket before boarding.     Come ride with the largest evening cycling group in the Delaware Valley ( over 100 riders). We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group up to our "A" group. We need to meet by 8am and keep a 12 mile hour pace with one coffee stop in Sweedsboro, NJ as to catch the 12:30 pm ferry. Pack a lunch since arrivel in Delaware City may not be until 1:30 pm.     Today we'll ride off-road cycle paths on both sides of the Delaware River. We'll first head up the PA side (nothing bad, but a few rockier and rutted sections here and there) and later cross over into NJ (mostly smooth crushed stone) and Frenchtown for a snack/quick lunch/bathroom break. Can add a few extra miles at this point of head directly back (we'll see what the consensus is). Best suited for a gravel, cyclocross or hybrid bike, or a road bike with wide tires and a rider who doesn't mind a few rougher sections here and there. Leisurely speed - will regroup as needed. Photo-op stops are welcome. We expect to list a ride weekly on Thursdays, starting from either Betzwood (going up either the SRT or the Perkiomen) or the New Hope/Lambertville area (exploring both sides of the Delaware River).     EARLY MORNING RIDE TODAY, DUE TO EXCESSIVE HEAT IN THE AFTERNOON. This is a pretty loop from the Whole Foods Market in Jenkintown to the Whole Foods in Plymouth Meeting. Outbound via Abington, Oreland, and Blue Bell. Indoor rest stop at the Whole Foods in Plymouth Meeting at the half-way mark (mile 20). Return via Spring Mill, Flourtown, and Glenside. At the rest stop in Plymouth Meeting (mid-way), there is an indoor dining area, so, we can take advantage of the air conditioning. On the return, if another water stop is needed, there is an option to stop at Wawa at mile 29 or mile 32. Total elevation gain is 1875 ft, per RidewithGPS.com. Mostly rolling terrain - tallest climb is 380 ft. Meeting point at Whole Foods Market: park at far end of lot, near the Rydal Park senior apts.     Pretty loop through Hunterdon County from East Amwell School on Wertsville Rd in Ringoes, to the Oldwick General Store and cafe in Tewksbury at Mile 21. On the return, there is an ice cream parlor at mile 28, and a convenience store at mile 37. Cross the scenic Raritan River, as well as a few creeks. Total climbing is 2417 ft.     Come ride with the largest evening cycling group in the Delaware Valley ( over 100 riders). We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group up to our "A" group.     Starting in Lambertville, NJ, today we'll ride off-road cycle paths on both sides of the Delaware River. We'll first head up the PA side (nothing bad, but a few rockier and rutted sections here and there) and later cross over into NJ (mostly smooth crushed stone) and Frenchtown for a snack/quick lunch/bathroom break. Can add a few extra miles at this point of head directly back (we'll see what the consensus is). Best suited for a gravel, cyclocross or hybrid bike, or a road bike with wide tires and a rider who doesn't mind a few rougher sections here and there. Leisurely speed - will regroup as needed. Photo-op stops are welcome. We expect to list a ride weekly on Thursdays, starting from either Betzwood (going up either the SRT or the Perkiomen) or the New Hope/Lambertville area (exploring both sides of the Delaware River).     Special meandering route in Montgomery County to try to catch Chuck Herbert's group at the REI Garage Sale in Conshohocken/Plymouth Mtg. Leader has to work early morning, so starting time of this r ide is slightly later, at 9:45. Meander from Jenkintown to Conshy/Plymouth Mtg via Floutown, Blue Bell, and Centre Square. Lunch stop at Weis Market food court (immediately next to REI) is at Mile 32. On the outbound, we have an optional rest break for bathroom and snack at Mile 22 (Montco Comm College), or Mile 26 (Centre Square Park). Return from REI via LaFayette Hill, Flourtown and Glenside. Total climbing is 2219 ft. Most of the climbing is in the beginning of the ride. The return from REI to Jenkintown is shorter, with more gentle terrain. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties with varying starting points.     Beat the Heat Early Bird Ride to Coffee in Devon (ad-hoc ride)

    Level B/B-: 14.5-15mph, 50+/- miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 7:30 am. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Assemble at 7:30. We willl leave at 7:35 SHARP! Ride through Belmont, Wynnewood, Havertown, Haverford, Merion, Bryn Mawr, Villanova, Radnor, Devon, Wayne, Gulph Mills, Conshohocken, Manayunk, Bala Cynwyd, etc. Many hills, including 12 (or so) relatively long ones. One 35-minute coffee stop in Devon (Pour Richards) at mile 26 or so. (It's all about the coffee.) Will regroup at top of long hills as needed, but riders are expected to achieve advertised pace (which is what our computers read as "average" at the finish). PLEASE PREREGISTER: It saves time; and increases substantially my ability to read the important info on the sign-in sheet; and it does not matter if you do not show up since we will not wait beyond the scheduled start time.     HAMMONTON, NJ TO GREAT BAY/BLUEBERRY CENTURY - CO-LEADERS WELCOME

    This ride is based on a route by Mike Krizauskas of BCP, SCU, and the Jersey Shore Cycle Club, originally planned to coincide with the Blueberry Festival in Hammonton, Blueberry Capital of the World. Mike K. has updated this route, to include scenic Lake Oswego, as well as other lakes, ponds, etc. On this 108-miler, there will be several rest stops The route, which is FLAT, will take us through blueberry farmlands, as well as quaint small towns in the Hammonton area. We'll cycle down to Lands End, that is, the end of the road at Great Bay. You'll see a wide menagerie of wildlife, as we cycle across the marshes toward the bay. You'll also see a facility along the bayshore which used to be a Coast Guard facility - it's now a marine research lab. Please note: we may have some headwinds, especially as we approach the bay. The 75-miler does not go to Land's End at Great Bay. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the day's stresses, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity, relaxed, recovery ride. Cycle peaceful roads in Eastern Montgomery Co. Mileage will depend on the length of evening daylight. Please bring lights in case we are delayed on our return. Occasionally, this ride may be cancelled, if there is a special Tailgate event at the COS ride in Wayne on the same date.


    Church of the Saviour Multi-Level Rides

    Levels A through D: 10-20mph, 10-40 miles. Meet at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Cue sheets will be available.

    Come ride with the largest evening cycling group in the Delaware Valley ( over 100 riders). We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group up to our "A" group. All rides start 6pm sharp and finish at sunset ( the Hybrid group finishes at 7:30). We also have post-ride socials at the Great American Pub in Wayne as well as two "tailgate" nights in the COS lot. We have experienced ride leaders and sweep riders so no one gets lost! We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.). Rain cancels the ride but look at Meetup for last minute updates when weather is questionable.

    RIDE YER BIKE TUESDAY (Central Park Doylestown Start)

    Bring yer bike & sense of adventure. Some days we'll ride familiar favorite routes, other days we'll scope out new routes. Today we'll ride to C'est La Vie French Bakery & Cafe in New Hope (yum). The way out is mostly rolling hills, with no real climbs. The return gets a little hillier - a long gradual up after lunch, and up Valley Rd. later in the ride. Optional break on the way out in Carversville (mile 14), lunch in New Hope (mile 21), optional break on the return at Guinea Lane Park (mile 34). Expected to be a hot day so will probably avail ourselves of all the stops and keep a pace appropriate for the temps. Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace. Must be willing to ride safely & obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride if weather is iffy (rain cancels). RIDE STARTS @ 9:30 September.
