Level All, 100 miles. Italian Fountain. The ride leaves at 6:00 am. Don't miss the 213th annual Italian Fountain Century, this year with inner ring clockwise and outer ring counterclockwise, fully marked course and fully sag supported. Outer ring riders do 1,000 laps, inner ring 2,000 laps to make the full 100 miles. Shorter routes and dizziness treatment available.

We should be back to Flourtown no later than 12-12:30pm. Meet 8:45 for a 9am start from the Ft. Washington State Park Flourtown Picnic area at 33 W. Mill Rd, Flourtown,Pa. Level C-/C+, 11/13 mph, 30-35 miles. Manhattan Bagel in the Chesterbrook Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. This is the third attempt to get this ride in. Will it be a charmer?? Join us and find out. . Route goes through King of Prussia and Upper Merion, crosses the Schuylkill River and continues up the Cross County Trail (paved) to IKEA. After a tasty interlude (Swedish meatballs?) we remount and spin under Ridge Pike, across the end of the Metroplex shopping center, to the Schuylkill River Trail. At Betzwood we cross the river on the boardwalk. Then back to Chesterbrook. Expect a few hills. No one dropped. Cue sheets provided. Bring a lock, snack, beverage & $. A multi-club ride. Sun April 4, 2010 - D Ride Sunday 4 April (Easter) Ride to the Centennial Cafe and lunch.
Level D , 10-11 mph, 15 miles. Formal Entrance to The Azalea Garden near the Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 11:45 am. We will ride around Fairmount park and head over to the west side to enjoy lunch at the Centennial Cafe in the Ohio House. After 10 miles of riding we will take a break for lunch or snacks. The ride finishes with 5 miles back to the Italian Fountain. Much of the ride wil be on MLK (West Drive). First 10 miles will have some hills. We will regroup frequently, and discuss safe riding, and answer questions. Must have helmet, and water or other fitness drink, and a safe means to carry your drink. This is a fun chance to check out the Farm Park in the Spring. We go thru Chestnut Hill out to Ambler, then shoot over some decent roads into Norristown to the park via a WAWA stop. Rolling terrain, lots of fun. We return via the bike path from Norristown, unless we decide to reroute via River Road.

Level C, 11-13 mph, 38 - 42 miles. Italian Fountain. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. We will ride thru the Western suburbs for about 40 miles, returning in time to join the Spring Kick-off Event. This ride will have some possibly challenging hills, but this will be "a true C ride which cheerfully waits to regroup." We will stop in the Villanova/Haverford area about the halfway point for refreshments and light food - choice of the Bagel Barrel or 7-11.

Level C, 25-35 miles. Italian Fountain. The ride leaves at 12:15 pm. A friendly C ride which cheerfully waits to regroup. Usually 25-35 miles, usually with a lunch or snack stop, but this week we will probably skip the break so that we can head to the BCP kickoff event after the ride. We will be able to get refreshments there.

Level C+, 13 +/- mph, 42 miles. Ft. Washington State Park Hawk Watch Area (off Joshua Rd. or Militia Rd./Skippack Pike). The ride leaves at 9:30 am. We'll stretch or legs a little today and get a little weekday distance in. Nice route with a few hills. Quick stop at Central Park, and then a WaWa on the return. Will regroup as needed.

Thu April 29, 2010 - Thursday Night B Training Ride - Bryn Mawr Local.
Level B, 15-16 mph, 30 miles. Italian fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. We ride to Merion, Gladwyne, and West Conshohocken, returning via the bike path and Manayunk. We'll maintain a true B pace and regroup as necessary. A B+/A- ride that averages 18+ mph also leaves from the Italian Fountain at 6:00 PM.
