Sun August 1, 2010 - Flourtown/Frenchtown/New Hope (and back)
Level B ish, 91 miles. Flourtown picnic area Fort Washington Park. The ride leaves at 8:30 am. If you would like to try almost a century, this is a nice tour of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties. The ride grading system is sometimes not a precise measure. As a minimum, please be able to do a 15 mph average on level ground for an extended distance. I will not leave anyone stranded on this long of a ride, but if you cannot maintain that kind of speed, it will be a very long day. There are elevation changes, but the grades are not severe. The section in New Jersey is flatter than your average pancake. Please bring at least 2 big water bottles, 2 tubes, and a pump or 3 CO2 cartridges. This is a long ride without SAG. >>>WEATHER UPDATE. I AM MAKING TWO SHORTER VERSIONS OF THE RIDE, ONE IN THE 45 MILE RANGE, AND ONE IN THE 65 MILE RANGE. I WILL CHECK THE FORECAST FOR WHEN THE RAIN IS SUPPOSED TO START AND DECIDE WHICH ONE TO USE WHEN I ARRIVE AT FLOURTOWN.<<<
