    Level D, 10 mph, 30 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Tuesdays are Suzy-Jo Donut day at Riverbend Cafe without needing to go on to Bridgeport, PA. We will take the HILLY way out through Penn Valley so as to know we earned the empty calories that are so satisfying. Ride to eat donuts!    Cue sheets will not be available.

    Tue October 17, 2017 - Ride Yer Bike Tuesday (3 speeds)

    Level C+, B and B+/A-, 13.5 +/-, 15.5 +/- and 17 +/- mph, 45 miles. Meet at Upper Dublin High School. The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Bring yer bike and sense of adventure. Some days we'll ride familiar favorite routes, other days we'll scope out new routes. Today we'll ride to Hatfield to a pizza place I've been to (but not as a RYBT ride) following a rest stop Tabora's in Chalfont. Mostly familiar roads, but will also be trying a few new ones. Two hills on the way to Tabora's (Iron Hill - short but somewhat steep, and Callowhill - long, but not steep), otherwise pretty much typical PA rolling hills. Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace. Must also be willing to ride safely and obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride if weather is iffy (rain cancels).     Tue October 17, 2017 - Conshocken Nite Lights rides are back

    Level B, 16-18 mph, 25 +/- miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Conshohocken night light rides are back for this fall. Meet at the parking lot across Ash Street from Jacobs Engineering. There are no bathrooms at this location. 16-18 mph for about 25 miles. Faster on the flat sections and slower on the few hills. Riders needs to be able to keep this pace. Rest stop at Lloyd Hall for bathroom and a quick snack (you need to bring your own snack). A STRONG HEADLIGHT AND TAIL LIGHT ARE REQUIRED AS SOME OF THE RIDE WILL BE AFTER DARK AND ON ROADS THAT DO NOT HAVE ANY LIGHTING. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level C-, 10 mph, 18 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 8:25 am. Join me for a ride to the High Point Cafe in West Mt. Airy for a good cup of joe. The High Point has pastries and "food" can be bought at Weavers Way Co-op across the street. We will ride up Midvale, thru Germantown to the cafe. We will spin off from the Azaela gardens at 8:30 AM. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Wed October 18, 2017 - Phoenixville Day/Night Dog Ride

    Level B-/C+, 13.5-14.5 mph, 30-40 miles. Meet at Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. The dwindling daylight brings back the lights. Instead of settling for under 20 miles, these rides start in the daylight and continue in the darkness. Strong headlights and taillights required. Every Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm through the end of October, These are beautiful rides on low-traffic roads. No one dropped, regroup as necessary, but please be prepared to ride the advertised pace on rolling to hilly terrain. Precipitation cancels.

    Level B-/C+, 13-15 mph, 45-50, +/- miles. Meet at Various starting points -- please check the daily . The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. We'll explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Depending on the destination, starting point may be in Conshohocken, Flourtown, Jenkintown, Wayne, Valley Forge, etc. Please check the daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map will be provided for each ride. Scheduled for virtually every Friday throughout the year, with a few exceptions here & there. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk (on foot). As long as we are enjoying outdoor physical exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing. Cue sheets will be available.

We have a few routes that bring us out around or through Ridley Creek State Park. Average speed will be 16-17 mph, but note that these routes include over 4000' of climbing.     Level D+, 9-13 mph, 25-45 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. An OWLS (older, wiser, longer, slower) pace ride through Fairmount Park and beyond, depending on the assembled group. There are hills for a challenge to increase strength and biking skill. No one dropped and we will reqroup at top of hill. Walking up a hill is allowed. Bring water, extra tube, $ for mid ride snack rest stop, sun screen, helmet. As many smiles as you you can should come with you. Check the week before to see if a destination and route will be prepared specially for this ride It is optional, but you may preregister until Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 6:00 pm.

    Sat October 21, 2017 - Hopewell Furnace Classic - Co-Leader Welcome

    Level B-, 13-15 mph, 60 miles. Meet at French Creek State Park, parking lot at Hopewell Lake, near the boat launch area.. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. An incredibly scenic ride through the Oley Valley in Berks County. Thanks to Rich Wagner for this picturesque route. Featuring the crossing of two covered bridges, Three rest stops. One at your standard convenience store. One at a great little deli/restaurant in the quaint town of Oley. And even one at a chocolatier. Terrain will consist of significant climbs (over the ridge) for the first and last 15 miles. The middle 30, in the valley, is rolling to flat. This will be one of the prettiest rides you will do this year. Cue sheets will be available. Total climbing 4176 feet. We will stop to regroup as needed. DRIVING DIRECTIONS to French Creek State Park: Take the Main PA Turnpike (I-76) West to the Downingtown Exit. This is two exits beyond (west of) the Valley Forge exit. After leaving the Turnpike, take PA 100 North/Pottstown Pike for 4 miles. You will pass through the town of Eagle. Turn left onto Conestoga Rd/PA-401 West. Stay on 401 West for 6 miles, then turn right onto PA-345 North/Bulltown Rd. Follow PA-345 North for 4 miles. There will be signs on 345 for French Creek State Park, and Hopewell Lake. But if you can't, we will go to the AIM starting site on the Schuylkill River Trail to visit. Short, low-key ride for those who will not be doing the Secnic Schuylkill Century. Route is in and around the Fairmount Park area. Ride will regroup as needed and no one is left behind. You will need a helmet, tube for your tire, a snack and water.     Level ALL. Meet at Hampton Inn of Hanover, PA, 309 Wilson Ave @ Einsenhower Drive, 17331. The ride leaves at 12:00 pm. BCP's annual fall foliage bike tour of Hanover and Gettysburg, PA, and surrounding countryside in York and Adams Counties. Ride past peaceful horse farms, across creeks and lakes, and around the quaint town of Gettysburg,as well as through Gettysburg National Park (the Battlefield). Preregistration and payment are required. Following most of the infamous Civil War Century, including cycling through Gettysburg battlefield. Significant climbing which features climbs of 8 miles and 5 miles.     Level D, 10 mph, 35 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. . Let's ride to Riverton, NJ. I want a good cup of coffee at Orange Blossom Bakery and Cafe in Riverton, NJ. They also have a full breakfast menu. We will experience the mid nineteenth centry industrial Philadelphia, PA waterfront with the Victorian waterfront of Riverton, NJ. We will walk our bikes across the Tacony Palmyra Bridge walkway. Retuning through Camden and cycling over the Ben Franklin Bridge walkway after carrying our bikes up the three flights of stairs by to Philly. Rain cancels ride one hour pior to start time.     Level ALL. Meet at Hampton Inn of Hanover, PA, 309 Wilson Ave @ Einsenhower Drive, 17331. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. BCP's annual fall foliage bike tour of Hanover and Gettysburg, PA, and surrounding countryside in York and Adams Counties. Ride past peaceful horse farms, across creeks and lakes, and around the quaint town of Gettysburg,as well as through Gettysburg National Park (the Battlefield). Preregistration and payment are required. The ride distance & destination will be decided on day of the ride & will be determined on the riders that show up. Any changes to start time or destination update will be listed.     Level D, 10 mph, 15-25 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:00 pm. Introductory ride for those new to riding or looking to improve riding skills and fitness for the C rides. Ride will be in the Fairmount Park area, will regroup as needed and be tailored to the abilities of those participating. You will need a helmet, water, and a tube for your tire. A snack is strongly recommended, as we may not stop for food. Safety and equipment instruction provided as needed. Rain one hour to the start time, cancels. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Tue October 31, 2017 - RYBT - Trick & Treat Edition from THE MARKET AT DEL VAL/DOYLESTOWN

    Level C+, B, and B+/A-, 13.5 +/-, 15.5 +/- and 17 +/- mph, 45 miles. Meet at The Market at DelVal (2100 Lower State Rd, Doylestown). The ride leaves at 10:00 am. TRICK (different start location - The Market at DelVal.: 2100 Lower State Rd, Doylestown) and TREAT (highly scenic ride to Ottsville). Being Halloween, please outfit yourself and /or your bike in as much orange as you can. Bring yer bike and sense of adventure. Today we'll ride to Ottsville for a snack at Brig O'Doon Coffee Shop followed by lunch at Tabora's in Chalfont. Lots of pretty country roads. No steep or spooky climbs, but lots of rolling hills. Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace. Must also be willing to ride safely and obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride if weather is iffy (rain cancels).     Tue October 31, 2017 - Kayuh Pedalers All Hollows Eve (Halloween) Ride (ad-hoc ride)

    Level D, 10-15 mph, 10-15 miles. Meet at Kayuh Bicycle and Cafe, 19th and Girard Ave. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Come celebrate All Hollows Eve with us with a ride to Mount Moriah Cemetery. There is a little Walking in the cemetery and a stop for coffee and ghost stories on the way back. There’s a good chance you’ll see some wildlife, and maybe some spooky goings on(?)), we can hope. DRESS for the weather. BCP rules apply. 18 years and older. Plus, you must have an extra tube, due to some road conditions in the cemetery. Plan on about 2 ½ hours. NO helmet or safety lights, NO RIDE!     Tue October 31, 2017 - Conshocken Nite Lights rides are back

    Level B, 16-18 mph, 25 +/- miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Conshohocken night light rides are back for this fall. Meet at the parking lot across Ash Street from Jacobs Engineering. There are no bathrooms at this location. 16-18 mph for about 25 miles. Faster on the flat sections and slower on the few hills. Riders needs to be able to keep this pace. Rest stop at Lloyd Hall for bathroom and a quick snack (you need to bring your own snack). A STRONG HEADLIGHT AND TAIL LIGHT ARE REQUIRED AS SOME OF THE RIDE WILL BE AFTER DARK AND ON ROADS THAT DO NOT HAVE ANY LIGHTING. Cue sheets will not be available.
