When? Saturday, January 19, 2019, 6:00 to 9:00pm
Where? Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, 500 West Willow Grove Ave, Philadelphia. We will be meeting in the HABER ROOM on the first floor of Wissahickon Hall. This is the large, stately, gray stone building across the street from the Philadelphia Cricket Club’s cricket field tennis courts. We will place signs outside of the building. ALL cyclists are warmly welcome to attend this social meeting -- a presentation by several club members about their cycling tours & trips, sharing photos and/or videos & tales about bike adventures, from around the US, and abroad.
REFRESHMENTS will be served.
PARKING There is an off-street, free parking lot on Willow Grove Ave, immediately adjacent to Wissahickon Hall, near the side door closest to our meeting in the Haber Room.
PUBLIC TRANSIT: Wissahickon Hall is 1-2 blocks from the St. Martin train station on Willow Grove Ave near Seminole St. SEPTA also runs buses on Germantown Ave, 5 blocks from Wissahickon Hall.
If you have photos/videos & stories of bike journeys you’d like to share with your cycling pals, please contact Linda McGrane by Saturday, January 12. Please assemble your photos on a USB flash drive or CD/DVD to submit them in advance. In order to plan an enjoyable evening for everyone, each presentation should last no more than ~15-20 mins. Each presentation should have no more than ~50 images. Vince Calkins will be the Technical Coordinator at the event, making sure that your photos are properly loaded and ready for presenting! If you need technical assistance in assembling your photos on a drive or disc, please contact Linda ahead of time – we can help you.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: If you are available to help at this event, THANK YOU for volunteering! Volunteer roles include: set up (5:30pm), as well as clean-up at the end of the program. Please contact Linda McGrane, re. volunteering, at: , or 267-251-7862.
