Occasionally, ad-hoc rides are announced. These rides are sent by email to all members of the BCP email list. To join this list, click here. Wed May 22, 2019 - Breakfast Ride to Haddonfield (ad-hoc ride).
Level D: 10mph, 25 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park . The ride leaves at 9:00 am. The rumor today was that the South walkway of the Ben Franklin Bridge was open. NOT! But if it is by Wednesday morning, a ride to Haddonfield, NJ is in order. If NOT, the ride will go up the river to River Wards Cafe in Richmond with the return via the complete length of Allegheny Ave. Cue sheets will not be available.

Wed May 22, 2019 - Delightful, Delicious D/D+/C- Ride, Wednesday Evening Edition.
Level C- through D: 10-11.5mph, 15-28 miles. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Gently paced, relaxed, post-work ride on quiet roads to pedal away workday stresses, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking low-intensity recovery ride. Meet in same parking lot as "Multi-Paced Rides" listed above. Rear of lot, near Giant Market. (LANDMARK: Flourtown Shopping Ctr has McDonald's in the front, facing Bethlehem Pike.) Please bring LIGHTS in case we return close to dark. Cue sheets will not be available. Please note: One Wednesday per month (usually the second Wed), Linda cannot lead this ride, due to BCP Board meeting -will try to arrange another leader on Board meeting nights. Wed May 22, 2019 - Flourtown Wednesday Ride 15-16 mph average.
Level B: 15-16mph. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. This weekly ride is scheduled on Wednesdays starting on May 1, 2019 and is scheduled to end on August 28, 2019. The ride will depart from Flourtown Shopping Center at 6:00 pm. The Ride Level: B, Distance: 20 to 40 miles. Speed 15 to 16 MPH. See daily calendar for updates. Rain cancels ride. Wed May 22, 2019 - Phoenixville Dog Park Rides.
Level C+: 13.5-14.5mph, 25-35 miles. Meet at Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Daylight rides on beautiful low-traffic roads. Rolling to hilly terrain. Lights not required, but not a bad idea to be prepared. No one dropped, but please be prepared to ride the advertised pace. Cue sheets will not be available. Thu May 23, 2019 - Cycle Tour to the Kent County Spring Fling.
Level D: 10mph, 50/35 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park . The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Wanting to cycle tour to the Kent County Spring Fling, Baltimore Bicyle Club? Join me for the two day ride to Chestertown, MD. on Washington College Campus. We will overnight in Smyrna, DE Thursday and on to Chestertown, MD Friday, early afternoon. Dining out for all meals, motel overnight will be our individual costs. The route will go down to Wilmington along the Individual Highway, The Jack A Merkell Trail to New Castle, DE, and Rt 9 toward Smyrna, 50 miles. The next day's ride is a straight shot South, 35 miles. You could arrange from other members for a ride back on Monday but I will cycle back via Elkton, MD, anther two days of cycling and motel overnight. All you need to do, register for the event with the Baltimore Bicyle Club, panniers on your bike to carry your clothes for three days including inclement weather gear. Thu May 23, 2019 - Off-road Thursday (ad-hoc ride).
Level C: 9-11mph, 32 miles. Meet at Valley Forge National Park - Betzwood Picnic Area (by bathrooms). The ride leaves at 9:30 am. For our inaugural off-road ride we'll ride the SRT to the Perkiomen Trail up to Spring Mount. Early lunch at Snoozy's Cafe on the return (mile 18). The ride will be a mix of dirt, gravel, loose rocks and paved trail. Best suited for a gravel, cyclocross or hybrid bike, or a road bike with wide tires and a rider who doesn't mind a few rougher sections here and there. Leisurely speed - will regroup as needed. Photo-op stops are welcome. We expect to list a ride weekly on Thursdays, starting from either Betzwood (going up either the SRT or the Perkiomen) or the New Hope/Lambertville area (exploring both sides of the Delaware River). Thu May 23, 2019 - Delightful, Delicious "D" (and D+/C-) Ride, Thursday evening Edition.
Level C- through D: 10-11.5mph, 15-28 miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the stresses of the workday, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride - relaxed pace. Meet in same parking lot as the "Multi-Level Conshohocken Rides". Start by riding on the Schuylkill River Trail, and/or, the Cross County Trail, which connects the Schuylkill with Plymouth Meeting . As riders get stronger, we can turn off the trails and explore some pretty roads in the area. Please bring lights in case we return close to dark. Cue sheets will not be available.

Thu May 23, 2019 - Thursday Night Hill Ride - with optional Parks on Tap at FDR park.
Level B: 15mph, B-/C+: 14mph, 25 -35 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. A moderately hilly ride conquering 3 Main Line hills that regroups at the top of each climb. As the days lengthen, so does the ride and we should be nearing 30 - 35 miles by July. No riders doing the listed pace will be dropped. 50% chance of rain between 6:00 and 8:00 cancels the ride Cue sheets will not be available. Two different paced groups: Simon will lead a B pace ride at 14.5 - 15.5 mph and Gene will lead the traditional pace at 13.5 -14.5 mph. Bike lights are highly recommended. Optional after-ride drinks at local beer gardens (bring ID & money). Cue sheets will not be available.

Thu May 23, 2019 - Conshohocken Multi-Level Rides.
Level A-/B+: 16.5-17.5mph, B/B-: 14.5-15.5mph, C+: 13-14mph, 20-30+ miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Meet at 5:45 for a prompt start. Note that there aren't any bathroom facilities. We offer 3 paces on a variety of routes on relatively lightly traveled roads. Most will have some hills. Distance will vary with the pace and available daylight. Please bring a rear light for use at dusk, and preferably a front light too. Will regroup as needed, but please be prepared to maintain the ride's advertised pace. Must also be willing to ride safely and obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride for possible changes or cancellations (rain cancels), and if a certain pace is not available. NOTE: START TIME IN SEPT. IS 5:45. Cue sheets will not be available.
