BCP offers many regularly scheduled weekly rides.     Mon May 27, 2019 - Kayuh Pedalers Memorial Day Ride

    Level D: 8-11mph, 15-20 miles. Meet at Kayuh Bicycles & Cafe 19th St. & Girard Ave. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. This ride will be along the Delaware River Trail from Pen Treaty, south to the SS United States and back the Kayuh. Helmet and water a must.

    Mon May 27, 2019 - Kimberton via Western Rd

    Level B-/C+: 13-13.5mph, 28 miles. Meet at Chesterbrook - Wilson Farm Park - Lee Rd at Wilson Rd. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. Going to mom's house in the afternoon. VERY scenic ride. Bring your camera and your granny gear. I will not be pushing the pace, but be prepared for hills (that's where all the scenery is). H2O stop at Kimberton Whole Foods.

    Mon May 27, 2019 - Ride to the Doylestown Memorial Day Parade (ad-hoc ride)

    Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 30+/- miles. Meet at Hatboto Horsham High School. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. What better way to remember those who died to make us free than to ride to the oldest memorial day parade in the country. We will leave from HHHS and ride familiar roads to the Doylestown area then try to find good viewing positions to watch the parade for an hour or so. We will take a short stop at the DelVal market on the way back. Please bring water, a snack, and money for the return trip. We will adjust the pace to the group so no one will be dropped. Decorated bikes are welcome. Cue sheets will not be available. The on-line route map is Doylestown Memorial Day Parade.

    Level C+: 13mph, 60 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Ride to VNHP using old Freedom Valley route, via Villanova and Conestoga Rd. Ride Prologue 9:30 at Washington Sq., then roll by the Vietnam and Korean Memorials. Out Columbus Blvd to Spring Garden and to the Art Museum. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level C- through D: 10-11.5mph, 15-28 miles. Meet at Upper Dublin High School. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Scheduled for most Monday evenings throughout the summer. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the day's stresses, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity, relaxed, recovery ride. Cycle peaceful roads in Eastern Montgomery Co. Mileage will depend on the length of evening daylight. Please bring lights in case we are delayed on our return. Occasionally, this ride may be cancelled, if there is a special Tailgate event at the COS ride in Wayne on the same date. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Mon May 27, 2019 - CANCELLED Church of the Saviour Multi-Level Rides

    Levels A through D: 10-20mph, 10-40 miles. Meet at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Come ride with the largest evening cycling group in the Delaware Valley ( over 100 riders). We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group up to our "A" group. All rides start 6pm sharp and finish at sunset ( the Hybrid group finishes at 7:30). We also have post-ride socials at the Great American Pub in Wayne as well as two "tailgate" nights in the COS lot. We have experienced ride leaders and sweep riders so no one gets lost! We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.). Rain cancels the ride but look at Meetup for last minute updates when weather is questionable. Cue sheets will be available.

    Tue May 28, 2019 - RIDE YER BIKE TUESDAY [DOYLESTOWN START]

    Levels A-/B+: 16.5-17.5mph, B: 15-16mph, C+: 13-14mph, 45 miles. Meet at Central Park, Doylestown. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Bring yer bike & sense of adventure. Some days we'll ride familiar favorite routes, other days we'll scope out new routes. Today we'll ride to Brig O'Doon Coffee House in Ottsville (mile 21). Very scenic ride with lots and lots of rolling hills, particularly approaching Ottsville and on the return. Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace. Must be willing to ride safely & obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride if weather is iffy (rain cancels). RIDE STARTS @ 9:00 June-August. Ride length will increase with daylight and pace will pickup to solid B+ by June. Headlights and taillights required.     Level C- through D: 10-11.5mph, 15-28 miles. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Gently paced, relaxed, post-work ride on quiet roads to pedal away workday stresses, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking low-intensity recovery ride. Meet in same parking lot as "Multi-Paced Rides" listed above. Rear of lot, near Giant Market. (LANDMARK: Flourtown Shopping Ctr has McDonald's in the front, facing Bethlehem Pike.) Please bring LIGHTS in case we return close to dark. Cue sheets will not be available. Please note: One Wednesday per month (usually the second Wed), Linda cannot lead this ride, due to BCP Board meeting -will try to arrange another leader on Board meeting nights.     Level B: 15-16mph Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. This weekly ride is scheduled on Wednesdays starting on May 1, 2019 and is scheduled to end on August 28, 2019. The ride will depart from Flourtown Shopping Center at 6:00 pm. The Ride Level: B, Distance: 20 to 40 miles. Speed 15 to 16 MPH. See daily calendar for updates. Rain cancels ride.     Level C+: 13.5-14.5mph, 25-35 miles. Meet at Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Daylight rides on beautiful low-traffic roads. Rolling to hilly terrain. Lights not required, but not a bad idea to be prepared. No one dropped, but please be prepared to ride the advertised pace. Cue sheets will not be available.     Level C- through D: 10-11.5mph, 15-28 miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the stresses of the workday, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride - relaxed pace. Meet in same parking lot as the "Multi-Level Conshohocken Rides". Start by riding on the Schuylkill River Trail, and/or, the Cross County Trail, which connects the Schuylkill with Plymouth Meeting . As riders get stronger, we can turn off the trails and explore some pretty roads in the area. Please bring lights in case we return close to dark. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Thu May 30, 2019 - Thursday Night Hill Ride

    Levels B: 15mph, B-/C+: 14mph, 25 -35 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. A moderately hilly ride conquering 3 Main Line hills that regroups at the top of each climb. As the days lengthen, so does the ride and we should be nearing 30 - 35 miles by July. No riders doing the listed pace will be dropped. 50% chance of rain between 6:00 and 8:00 cancels the ride Cue sheets will not be available. Two different paced groups: Simon will lead a B pace ride at 14.5 - 15.5 mph and Gene will lead the traditional pace at 13.5 -14.5 mph. Bike lights are highly recommended. Optional after-ride drinks at local beer gardens (bring ID & money). Cue sheets will not be available.

    Thu May 30, 2019 - Conshohocken Multi-Level Rides

    Levels A-/B+: 16.5-17.5mph, B/B-: 14.5-15.5mph, C+: 13-14mph, 20-30+ miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Meet at 5:45 for a prompt start. Note that there aren't any bathroom facilities. We offer 3 paces on a variety of routes on relatively lightly traveled roads. Most will have some hills. Distance will vary with the pace and available daylight. Please bring a rear light for use at dusk, and preferably a front light too. Will regroup as needed, but please be prepared to maintain the ride's advertised pace. Must also be willing to ride safely and obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride for possible changes or cancellations (rain cancels), and if a certain pace is not available. NOTE: START TIME IN SEPT. IS 5:45. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Fri May 31, 2019 - Friday Frolic w/Linda. This is the generic description. Specific details will be posted on daily calendar for each Friday.

    Level B-: 14mph, 45-50, +/- miles. Start location to be determined. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk, or snow activity. As long as we are enjoying outdoor exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing. Cue sheets will be available.

    Fri May 31, 2019 - Art Museum to the Highpoint Cafe at Allen Lane (ad-hoc ride)

    Level C- through D: 9-13mph, 19 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 11:00 am. Ride from the Art Museum to the High Point Cafe at Allen Lane Station and back -- out via Midvale Ave. and the Walnut Lane Bridge bike lane, back via the Wissahickon Trail (paved, not Forbidden Drive). No one will be left behind. Bring water, money for our stop at Allen Lane and a spare tube.
