BCP offers many regularly scheduled weekly rides. Occasionally, ad-hoc rides are announced. These rides are sent by email to all members of the BCP email list. To join this list, click here.     Mon September 24, 2018 - Church of the Saviour Multi-Level Rides

    Level A through D: 8-20mph, 13-45 miles. Meet at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Multi-level ride group with 7 different paced groups ( D, C, C+, B-, B, B+, and A). The 7 groups range from a slow D level "hybrid / road" group that rides no more than 15 miles at 8-11 mph pace up to our fastest pace "A" ride group that rides at 18-20 mph and anywhere between 20 and 50 miles depending on sunset times. We ride every Monday April thru September except when a Monday falls on a holiday. Rain cancels the rides. See a description of each individual ride group on the daily calendar. PLEASE NOTE that this ride IS CANCELLED AND DOES NOT OCCUR on holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day or Labor Day (Monday Sept. 3 2018)!

    Tue September 25, 2018 - Ride Yer Bike Tuesday

    Levels A-/B+: 16.5-17.5mph, B/B-: 15-16mph, C+: 13-14mph, 50 miles. Meet at Upper Dublin High School. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Bring yer bike & sense of adventure. Some days we'll ride familiar favorite routes, other days we'll scope out new routes. Today we'll ride a new but revised favorite (riding to New Hope into Jersey, up towards Ringoes and back through Carversville) with a new lunch stop for this group - The Lumberville General Store. Expect lots of rolling hills with some nice flat areas too, and oodles of scenic countryside. Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace. Must be willing to ride safely & obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride if weather is iffy (rain cancels). NOTE: THE LAST RIDE OF THE MONTH STARTS FROM CENTRAL PARK, DOYLESTOWN and we start at 10:00 in October. Cue sheets will not be available.     Wed September 26, 2018 - Flourtown Multi-Level Rides, Every Wednesday April Thru September

    Level A- through C+: 13-18mph, 15-40 miles. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Multi-level ride group (C+, B-, B, A- ) that meets every Wednesday April thru September. Various ride leaders. See daily calendar for details. Rain cancels ride

    Wed September 26, 2018 - Phoenixville Dog Ride, B-/C+, 13.5-14.5

    Level C+: 13.5mph, 20-35 miles. Meet at Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. The daylight Phoenixville dog rides begin in May and continue through September. Rolling to hilly rides on low-traffic roads. Regroup as necessary. No one dropped, but please be prepared to ride the posted speed on rolling to hilly terrain. On the last Wednesday of each month, we will have a day/night ride. We start riding in the daylight and continue after sunset with headlights and taillights. A strong headlight and taillight are required. On the last Wednesday in June, we will ride a metric century.

    Thu September 27, 2018 - RIDE THURSDAYS!

    Levels B-: 14-15mph, 35-55 miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. We will ride west on the SRT , make a Loop in Valley Forge Park, then continue west to Phoenixville for coffee and snack break.. we will then ride to the end of the pavement on the Perkiomen Trail before returning to Conshy. Opportunity for some intervals or sprints on the flat trail . No drops but should be able to ride posted pace (it’s flat!) . Bring water ,snacks and helmet. Check back for weather related changes, Cue sheets will not be available.

    Fri September 28, 2018 - Friday Frolic w/Linda. This is the generic description. Specific details will be posted on daily calendar for each Friday.

    Level B-: 14mph, 45-50, +/- miles. Start location to be determined. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk, or snow activity. As long as we are enjoying outdoor exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing. Cue sheets will be available.

    Sat September 29, 2018 - Main Line Cycles Brisk Ride

    Levels A: 16-17mph, 40-55 miles. Meet at Main Line Cycles front of shop 919 Montgomery Ave. The ride leaves at 8:05 am. Great roads with low traffic. We have a few routes that bring us out around or through Ridley Creek State Park. Average speed will be 16-17 mph, but note that these routes include over 4000' of climbing. Bring a snack for a brief mid-ride break. Consider the on-line routes approximate. Leave by 8:05 AM. Rain cancels. Cue sheets will not be available.     Level C- through D: 10-12mph, 15 - 25 miles. Meet at Kayuh Bicycles & Cafe 19th St. & Girard Ave. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. Rides will be around Philadelphia County.     Level C+: 12-14mph, 45-60 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:15 am. Friendly C+ ride with various destinations: BE SURE TO CHECK THE DAILY RIDE CALENDAR FOR RIDE LEADER AND DESTINATION INFORMATION. Bring money for lunch. We will regroup as necessary and wait at turns within ride level expectations. YOU MUST CARRY A SPARE TUBE. Ride may be cancelled up to 1 hour prior to departure time. Indication that cue sheets and/or GPS navigational information will be available no later than 24 hours prior to departure.

    Sat September 29, 2018 - Hills out West

    Level B: 14.5-15.5mph, 50 - 70 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:15 am. Consider this the next step up from the Toss of the DIce "C+", further (50 - 70 miles) and with more hills (3000 - 5000). The average speed (measured at end of ride) is likely to be 14.5 - 15.5 mph, it is the hills that push this into the B category. We will regroup as needed, but riders are expected to ride group pace. Bring food or money for snack along the way, as well as a spare tube. Check daily listing for route information. Ride may be cancelled up to 1 hour prior to departure time. Cue sheets will be available.

    Sun September 30, 2018 - Sunny Sunday D Ride

    Levels D: 9-12mph, 14-24 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:00 pm. OWLS (Older, Wiser, Longer, Slower) paced ride though Fairmount Park and beyond, depending on the group assembled. Please wear helmet (required by club). Bring extra tube, water, $ for mid ride3 snack. Smiles always welcomed. There might be a hill or two to help new riders increase endurance. No one will be dropped and time allowed to recover at top of hills. Some instructional advice for new riders.

    Level C: 13mph, 25-35 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:15 pm. A true C ride that cheerfully waits to regroup. Usually 25-35 miles, usually with a lunch or snack stop. Meet at the Italian Fountain, near the parking garage sign. It is optional, but you may preregister until Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 11:00 am.
