Level D: 9-12mph, 12-24 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum.. The ride leaves at 12:00 pm. Casual paced ride through Fairmount Park and beyond for those new to group riding, returning to biking after a layoff, or just want a fun ride without racing through the streets. Level B-/C+: 12.5-14mph, 18 miles. Meet at Bruno's, Northwestern and Germantown Aves. The ride leaves at 1:00 pm. For Dec. 7: Very short loop today (18 miles - Bruno's to Bridgeport), due to another event later today. Sunday afternoon winter ride, for those who have other plans on Sunday morning. Focus is to enjoy some sunshine/fresh air therapy with friends, curb holiday/winter weight gain, and maintain base-level fitness during the off-season, to have an easier transition into early spring rides when March comes around again. This is a generic description of the ride which will go to one of three destinations every Tuesday:GET Cafe in Narberth; Farmers’ Market in Ardmore or Whole Foods in Wynnewood. Some climbing of 800 to 1000 feet. First part of ride will generally mean a climb into Fairmount Park, across the Strawberry Mansion Bridge up to Chamounix. Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 48 miles. Meet at Core Creek Park, Park Rd, parking lot lext to Lake Luxembourg. The ride leaves at 9:45 am. Pretty and scenic meander through Bucks County, PA and Mercer County, NJ. Meet at Lake Luxembourg in Core Creek Park, then head towards Yardley and Washington Crossing. Explore peaceful roads in Mercer County, stopping for coffee/snack/lunch in Pennington at Mile 31. Before the lunch stop, we'll cycle around the lake in Rosedale Park, and ride on park of the Lawrence Hopewell Trail. On our way to Pennington, we can stop if needed for a quick restroom/snack break at Washington Crossing or Titusville. Total elevation is 2066 ft, averaging 43 ft/mile. Level B-/C+: 13-13.5mph, 48 miles. Meet at Wycombe Train Station. The ride leaves at 9:45 am. This pretty route is based on/adapted from a route by Dmitri Levin (Thanks, Dmitri!) We will meander from the historic Wycombe Train Station to Wrightstown and Washington Crossing, then cross the Delaware River to Mercer County, NJ. Cycle east to charming Princeton, for coffee/lunch/snack at D'Angelo Italian Market/Cafe/Deli. On the return, we will cross peaceful Stony Brook. Lunch at D'Angelo Market is at Mile 23. Return via Pennington to Washington Crossing. If extra rest breaks are needed, at Mile 9 and Mile 39, we'll be in Washington Crossing, where we can stop at either Dunkin' Donuts or the convenience store. I will celebrate my birthday ride on the 31st this year instead of the 30th of December. Plus, in keeping with a tradition started last year, the years will be counted in km vs miles. The route is simple, up the Delaware River Bicycle Route to Bristol and return the same except taking Torresdale Ave route the last quarter. At the end of the ride we will wish each other a happy new year! If KYW is reporting rain, slow or icy road conditions outside their studio one hour prior to start, ride cancels. Cue sheets will not be available. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 9:00 am.
