BCP offers many regularly scheduled weekly rides. Occasionally, ad-hoc rides are announced. These rides are sent by email to all members of the BCP email list. To join this list, click here.     Level D: 10mph, 28 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Let's ride to Elcy's Cafe at the Glenside Train Station for coffee and snack. En route, we'll stop at the Awbury Arboretum in East Mount Airy to see the goats and bees.     Thu April 22, 2021 - RIDE CLOSED Thursday Morning Hill Ride

    Level D: 10mph, 23 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. This week, we will do the Hill Ride that I cancelled because of rain on 4/1. It's the shortest and easiest, following the usual route, after Mill Creek Park, we will climb Conshockocken State Road (Route 23) and then descend to the Cynwyd Trail and West Laurel Hill Cemetary. Coffee and lunch (veggie and vegan options available) outdoors overlooking the Schuylkill River at The Landing Kitchen at the Pencoyd Bridge. I will cancel the ride at 9 AM if it is raining. Check the website or text or call me if you are in doubt. Cue sheets will not be available. Preregistration is required, currently preregistration is full. Please do not attend this ride if not preregistered.

    Level C+: 13-14mph, 20 - 30 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 5:45 pm. A moderately hilly ride conquering Main Line hills that regroups at the top of each climb. As the days lengthen, so does the ride and we should be nearing 30 miles by July. No riders doing the listed pace will be dropped. Cue sheets will not be available. Bike lights are highly recommended. Please bring a mask for when off the bike and review Club rules for COVID-19. Rain cancellations will be listed on web site 1 hour prior to ride. Cue sheets will not be available. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 4:30 pm.

    Level C: 12mph, 24 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 5:46 pm. A slower C pace version of the Thursday night hill ride. We will start at 5:46 PM for April and switch to 6:01 PM beginning in May. Cue sheets will not be available. It is optional, but you may preregister until Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 4:00 pm.

    Fri April 23, 2021 - Friday Frolic w/Linda. This is the generic description. Specific details will be posted on daily calendar for each Friday.

    Level B-: 14mph, 45-50, +/- miles. Start location to be determined. The ride leaves at 9:15 am. Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk, or snow activity. As long as we are enjoying outdoor exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing. Cue sheets will be available.

    Fri April 23, 2021 - Philadelphia to Fort Washington Friday Forty

    Levels C- through D: 11-12mph, 40 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. A forty mile ride from Lloyd Hall (No. 1 Boathouse Row) near the Philadelphia Museum of Art to Fort Washington State Park and back. We'll take a lunch break at the Giant in Flourtown, which has an outdoor dining area. This is the one of several progressively longer Friday step-up rides for BCP D group riders, leading up to the Art Museum to Malvern metric century ride on Friday, May 7. Other riders are welcome to join us for this or any of the Friday rides. Helmet and mask are required.     Sat April 24, 2021 - Toss of the Dice 2.0

    Level C+: 14mph, 35-80 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:15 am. Various friendly rides departing at specified time and ranging 45-80 miles. We will regroup as needed, but riders are expected to ride group pace. Bring food or money for snack along the way, as well as a spare tube, tire irons and multi-tool. Check daily listing for route information. Ride may be cancelled up to 1 hour prior to departure time. Please be familiar with the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia Rider Guidelines for COVID-19 Mitigation, and bring a mask for the rest stop. Preregistration required.     Sat April 24, 2021 - Tim's Type of Saturday Morning Ride

    Level D: 9-12mph, 35-40 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. OWLS (Older, Wiser, Longer, Slower) pace ride for D riders looking for a bit of adventure, longer, and hillier rides than the normal D rides. Please bring mask and helmet (required by the club). Please bring sun screen, water, extra tube, and proper dress for this time of year. We will stop at the Media Bean for a mid ride refueling stop, so bring $. There will be one especially long up hill climb just before lunch. The ride back will still have hills but will be generally downhill. Please come early enough that we can leave promptly at 9:30 Cue sheets will be available. The on-line route map is to Media Bean 40.     Sun April 25, 2021 - Sunny Sunday D MINOR Ride

    Level D: 9-12mph, 12-24 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 1:00 am. OWLS (Older, Wiser, Longer, Slower) paced ride through Fairmount Park and beyond. This ride is for any age rider that is new to biking or to group biking. There will be brief introduction to group biking. We might have a hill or two to challenge and help our physical conditioning. We will allow recovery breathing and regrouping at the top of any hill. Please bring helmet and masks (required by the club). Please bring extra tube, water, sunscreen, and $ for mid-ride snack stop. Smiles, Jokes, and short stories are always welcomed. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 12:00 pm.

    Sun April 25, 2021 - Sunday D Major / C Minor Ride - Haddonfield

    Level C- through D: 11-13mph, 23.2 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:03 pm. This is a ride in-between the D and C ride categories for those who want to step up from our Sunny Sunday D rides but who aren'te quite ready for a Sunday C ride. On April 25th we'll head over the river and through the woods (over the Ban Franklin Bridge and through the woods along the Cooper River) to historic Haddonfield NJ, where we'll stop for 20-30 minutes at the high street (King's Hwy.). There is a Saxby's Cafe, an ice cream shop, a British shop and a statue of the famous Camden County Hadrosaurus, discovered nearby in 1858. A helmet and a mask are required. BCP COVID-19 protocols are still in effect. New riders are welcome. In future weeks the Sunday C Spinoff will become the c- ride and we'll add a c+ Sunday ride.     Levels B-: 12-14mph, C: 12mph, 25-40 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:15 pm. Destination and distance will be determined by the weather that day. True C ride which cheerfully waits to regroup. Some climbing required. Covid restrictions in effect. Wear a mask for meet up and lunch or snack stop. No ride if rain or icy roads at start or 50 percent or more chance of rain during the ride. Pre-registration is not required but greatly preferred. It is optional, but you may preregister until Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 11:00 am.

Diana Dooley and I will lead this ride. Take a ride out to Conshohocken via the SRT trail and enjoy a coffee at the Feine Cafe at 8th and Fayette. If rainy, we will cancel by 9 am.     Mon April 26, 2021 - COS (Church of the Savior) Monday Multi-Level Group Rides, Wayne, PA

    Level A through D: 10-18.5mph, 20-35 miles. Meet at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. WE'RE BACK!!!!!!!! Come ride with the largest evening cycling group in the Delaware Valley Ride Level: D thru A This ride is cross listed at the SCU Meetup site. Please pre-register here or there so that we can get a count of riders before we start. COVID-19 Protocols are still in effect. Please review these on BCP websites. We have experienced ride leaders and sweep riders so no one gets lost! We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.). Rain cancels the ride but look at Meetup or here for last minute updates when weather is questionable. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Tue April 27, 2021 - Ride Yer Bike Tuesday FROM CENTRAL PARK

    Levels A-/B+: 16-17mph, B-: 13.5-14.5mph, C+/C: 12.5-13.5mph, 47 miles. Meet at Central Park, Doylestown. The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Bring yer bike & sense of adventure. Some days we'll ride familiar favorite routes, other days we'll scope out new routes. Today we'll be riding to Lambertville, looping thru NJ and returning from Lumberville. Expect good company, no huge climbs (but a number of steady uphill sections), and lots of scenic country roads. Our rest stop is in Lambertville at mile 19 (art center on the side street opposite CVS). Our lunch stop is at mile 34 at the Lumberville General Store. Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace. Must be willing to ride safely, obey traffic laws and follow: https://phillybikeclub.org/bcp_covid_19_rider_guidelines.pdf. Check day of the ride if weather is iffy - rain cancels, but may reschedule for Wed. NOTE: Ride starts @ 9:30 in May. The 4th Tues. of the month starts @ Central Pk, Doylestown. 5th Tues.     Tue April 27, 2021 - Tandem Tuesday

    Level Tandem: 12-13mph, 25-30 miles. Meet at Valley Forge National Park - Betzwood Picnic Area (by bathrooms). The tandem ride leaves at 10:00 am. Weekly tandem ride. Singles welcome. This week we will cross the Schuylkill River, ride through VFNP, and on to the Chester Valley Trail (CVT). We will ride to CVT to Exton Park for a short snack and bathroom break. Then return by a similar route. Note there are some hills in VFNP total climb is 1290 feet. Bring snacks and water for rest stop. Ride will leave promptly at the posted ride time. No drops. Preregistration greatly preferred, but not required. Cue sheets will not be available.

Coffee and lunch (veggie and vegan options available) outdoors overlooking the Schuylkill River at The Landing Kitchen beside the Pencoyd Bridge. I will cancel the ride at 9 AM if it is raining.     Level C- through D: 11.5-12.5mph, 50 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park . The ride leaves at 9:30 am. A fifty mile ride from Lloyd Hall (No. 1 Boathouse Row) near the Philadelphia Museum of Art to Valley Forge National Historic Park. We'll stop for a small lunch at the Cabin Gift Shop (and cafe) behind the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge NHP. A RWGPS route map and route details will be added to this listing soon.
