    Level D: 10mph, 25 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park . The ride leaves at 9:00 am. The rumor today was that the South walkway of the Ben Franklin Bridge was open. NOT! But if it is by Wednesday morning, a ride to Haddonfield, NJ is in order. If NOT, the ride will go up the river to River Wards Cafe in Richmond with the return via the complete length of Allegheny Ave. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level C- through D: 10-11.5mph, 15-28 miles. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Gently paced, relaxed, post-work ride on quiet roads to pedal away workday stresses, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking low-intensity recovery ride. Meet in same parking lot as "Multi-Paced Rides" listed above. Rear of lot, near Giant Market. (LANDMARK: Flourtown Shopping Ctr has McDonald's in the front, facing Bethlehem Pike.)     Level B: 15-16mph Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. This weekly ride is scheduled on Wednesdays starting on May 1, 2019 and is scheduled to end on August 28, 2019. The ride will depart from Flourtown Shopping Center at 6:00 pm. The Ride Level: B, Distance: 20 to 40 miles. Speed 15 to 16 MPH. See daily calendar for updates. Rain cancels ride.     Level C+: 13.5-14.5mph, 25-35 miles. Meet at Reynolds Dog Park, Longford Rd, Oaks, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Daylight rides on beautiful low-traffic roads. Rolling to hilly terrain.     Thu May 23, 2019 - Cycle Tour to the Kent County Spring Fling

    Level D: 10mph, 50/35 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmont Park . The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Wanting to cycle tour to the Kent County Spring Fling, Baltimore Bicyle Club? Join me for the two day ride to Chestertown, MD. on Washington College Campus. We will overnight in Smyrna, DE Thursday and on to Chestertown, MD Friday, early afternoon. Dining out for all meals, motel overnight will be our individual costs. The route will go down to Wilmington along the Individual Highway, The Jack A Merkell Trail to New Castle, DE, and Rt 9 toward Smyrna, 50 miles. The next day's ride is a straight shot South, 35 miles. You could arrange from other members for a ride back on Monday but I will cycle back via Elkton, MD, anther two days of cycling and motel overnight. All you need to do, register for the event with the Baltimore Bicyle Club, panniers on your bike to carry your clothes for three days including inclement weather gear.     Thu May 23, 2019 - Off-road Thursday (ad-hoc ride)

    Level C: 9-11mph, 32 miles. Meet at Valley Forge National Park - Betzwood Picnic Area (by bathrooms). The ride leaves at 9:30 am. For our inaugural off-road ride we'll ride the SRT to the Perkiomen Trail up to Spring Mount. Early lunch at Snoozy's Cafe on the return (mile 18). The ride will be a mix of dirt, gravel, loose rocks and paved trail. Best suited for a gravel, cyclocross or hybrid bike, or a road bike with wide tires and a rider who doesn't mind a few rougher sections here and there. Leisurely speed - will regroup as needed. Photo-op stops are welcome. We expect to list a ride weekly on Thursdays, starting from either Betzwood (going up either the SRT or the Perkiomen) or the New Hope/Lambertville area (exploring both sides of the Delaware River).     Level C- through D: 10-11.5mph, 15-28 miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the stresses of the workday, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride - relaxed pace. Meet in same parking lot as the "Multi-Level Conshohocken Rides". Start by riding on the Schuylkill River Trail, and/or, the Cross County Trail, which connects the Schuylkill with Plymouth Meeting . As riders get stronger, we can turn off the trails and explore some pretty roads in the area. Please bring lights in case we return close to dark. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Thu May 23, 2019 - Thursday Night Hill Ride - with optional Parks on Tap at FDR park

    Levels B: 15mph, B-/C+: 14mph, 25 -35 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. A moderately hilly ride conquering 3 Main Line hills that regroups at the top of each climb. As the days lengthen, so does the ride and we should be nearing 30 - 35 miles by July. No riders doing the listed pace will be dropped. 50% chance of rain between 6:00 and 8:00 cancels the ride Cue sheets will not be available. Two different paced groups: Simon will lead a B pace ride at 14.5 - 15.5 mph and Gene will lead the traditional pace at 13.5 -14.5 mph. Bike lights are highly recommended. Optional after-ride drinks at local beer gardens (bring ID & money). Cue sheets will not be available.

    Thu May 23, 2019 - Conshohocken Multi-Level Rides

    Levels A-/B+: 16.5-17.5mph, B/B-: 14.5-15.5mph, C+: 13-14mph, 20-30+ miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Meet at 5:45 for a prompt start. Note that there aren't any bathroom facilities. We offer 3 paces on a variety of routes on relatively lightly traveled roads. Most will have some hills. Distance will vary with the pace and available daylight. Please bring a rear light for use at dusk, and preferably a front light too. Will regroup as needed, but please be prepared to maintain the ride's advertised pace. Must also be willing to ride safely and obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride for possible changes or cancellations (rain cancels), and if a certain pace is not available. NOTE: START TIME IN SEPT. IS 5:45. Cue sheets will not be available.     Fri May 24, 2019 - Early-Bird Friday Frolic w/Linda: FLOURTOWN to SKIPPACK. SPECIAL EARLY START TIME, due to holiday weekend.

    Level B-: 14mph, 41 miles. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 7:50 am. FLOURTOWN TO SKIPPACK: Pretty route through Montgomery County, passing through Ambler, West Point and Worcester, on the way to Skippack. Quick restroom break at Fischers Park at mile 16. Wawa rest stop at mile 24. Total elevation 1946 feet - mostly rolling terrain. Regroup as needed. No one dropped, but we will try to maintain at least 13 mph, as advertised. Assemble at 7:50am, in order to start promptly at 8:00am. Earlier start time today, due to Friday afternoon getaway for the Memorial Day Weekend. Plan is to return by 12 noon. NEXT WEEK, WE WILL RESUME THE REGULAR START TIME (9:30). GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check the daily calendar for details of each Friday's route. Cue sheets and on-line route map will be provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk (on foot).     Sat May 25, 2019 - Mostly Flat Century+ on Maryland's Eastern Shore (w/short-cut options available)

    Level B-: 14mph, 109 miles. Meet at Main parking lot of Washington College, on MD-213 in Chestertown, MD.. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Century trek on mostly flat-to-gently-rolling roads from Chestertown, MD, north to Chesapeake City (along the C & D Canal), across the Mason Dixon line to quaint Middletown and Odessa, DE, then returning to Maryland's Eastern Shore. Cycle mostly on lightly traveled roads with wide shoulders. Total elevation gain is 2164 feet. We'll pass through charming small towns, and cross the scenic Sassafras and Bohemia Rivers. Rest stops available at mile 19 (Galena), 39 (Chesapeake City), 51 (Wawa in Middletown, DE), 61 (Wawa north of Odessa). On the return, we can stop in Galena again at mile 88. Stop to regroup as needed. No one dropped, but we will try to maintain 14mph, as advertised. SHORT-CUT OPTION: On the return, staying straight on 213 South directly to Chestertown will shave off several miles. Please note: in lieu of hill-climbing, we'll have HEADWINDS for part of the route. Please bring sunblock, due to minimal shade. Please allow at least 90 mins drive time from Philadelphia (I-95S to DE-1, DE-299W to US-301S into MD. US-301 to MD-291 to MD-213) .     Levels A: 18mph, 40-55 miles. Meet at Main Line Cycles front of shop 919 Montgomery Ave. The ride leaves at 8:05 am. Great roads with low traffic. We have a few routes that bring us out around or through Ridley Creek State Park. Average speed will be 16-17 mph, but note that these routes include over 4000' of climbing.     Sat May 25, 2019 - Explore the Upper Portions of the Schuylkill River Trail

    Level D: 9-13mph, 70 miles. Meet at Cromby Trail Head, Schuylkill Trail Head, Phoenixville, VA. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. Explore the SRT from near Phoenixville to Reading at an OWLS (Older, Wiser, Longer, Slower) paced ride. While some of the trail north of our start will be on crushed stone it can be done by road bikes. We will go into downtown Reading to the Peanut Bar and Grill or if we are too tired and hot we will go to the Queen Dinner in West Reading. Bring water and extra water, extra tube, helmet (required by the club), sunscreen. We will have several stops along the way. It will be a long day, so be prepared for changes in weather. There might be an eagle or hawk along the river. It is optional, but you may preregister until Friday, May 24, 2019 at 6:00 pm.

Easy start and finish on the Chester Valley Trail, but the scenic part in the middle has hills. Moderate pace with regrouping. H2O stop at Giant Market at 16 miles, and trail head on CVT at mile 34.

    Level B: 14.5-15.5mph, 50 - 70 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 9:05 am. Consider this the next step up from the Toss of the DIce "C+", further (50 - 70 miles) and with more hills (3000 - 5000). The average speed (measured at end of ride) is likely to be 14.5 - 15.5 mph, it is the hills that push this into the B category. We will regroup as needed, but riders are expected to ride group pace. Bring food or money for snack along the way, as well as a spare tube. Optional end of ride drinks at pop up beer garden. (Cosmic Cafe or PoT at FDR Park) Check daily listing for route information.     Level B/B-: 14mph, 61 miles. Meet at Valley Forge National Park visitor center lower parking lot. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. We will look at 15 miles of the SSC route from 14 years ago on the way out to a WAWA stop in Pottstown, then pass Swamp Picnic Road on the way to Hennings Market in Harleysville before returning to the VFNHP visitor center parking lot. The pace will be moderate for an early season ride with hilly terrain, but it should NOT be your first ride of the year...

    Level D: 9-12mph, 12-24 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:00 pm. . OWLS (Older, Wiser, Longer, Slower) pace ride through Fairmount Park and beyond. Distance will be determined by the group assembled. Please bring helmet (required by club), water, extra tube, $ for mid-ride snack, and remember to use sunscreen. There might be a hill or two for building up muscle by resistance biking. We will regroup and allow breathing to catch up.19 - Sunny Sunday D Ride. Level D: 9-12.5mph, 16-25 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:00 pm. (Older,Wiser,Longer,Slower) paced ride through Fairmount Park and beyond depending on the group assembled. Please wear helmet(required by club), extra tube, water, and $ for mid ride snack stop. Instructional biking tips will be available for new riders. There might be a hill or two for resistance as well as aerobic training. Recovery time at top of hills will be available. Please bring smiles, stories, jokes, and a good sense of humor. Today's ride will be to Valley Green on Forbidden Drive, along the Wissahickon Creek. Some of the Forbidden Drive surface is gravel.     Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 30+/- miles. Meet at Hatboto Horsham High School. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. What better way to remember those who died to make us free than to ride to the oldest memorial day parade in the country. We will leave from HHHS and ride familiar roads to the Doylestown area then try to find good viewing positions to watch the parade for an hour or so. We will take a short stop at the DelVal market on the way back. Please bring water, a snack, and money for the return trip. We will adjust the pace to the group so no one will be dropped. Decorated bikes are welcome. Cue sheets will not be available. The on-line route map is Doylestown Memorial Day Parade.

Cycle peaceful roads in Eastern Montgomery Co. Mileage will depend on the length of evening daylight. Please bring lights in case we are delayed on our return. Occasionally, this ride may be cancelled, if there is a special Tailgate event at the COS ride in Wayne on the same date. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Mon May 27, 2019 - Church of the Saviour Multi-Level Rides

    Levels A through D: 10-20mph, 10-40 miles. Meet at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Come ride with the largest evening cycling group in the Delaware Valley ( over 100 riders). We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group up to our "A" group. All rides start 6pm sharp and finish at sunset ( the Hybrid group finishes at 7:30). We also have post-ride socials at the Great American Pub in Wayne as well as two "tailgate" nights in the COS lot. We have experienced ride leaders and sweep riders so no one gets lost! We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.). Rain cancels the ride but look at Meetup for last minute updates when weather is questionable. Cue sheets will be available.

    Tue May 28, 2019 - RIDE YER BIKE TUESDAY [DOYLESTOWN START]

    Levels A-/B+: 16.5-17.5mph, B: 15-16mph, C+: 13-14mph, 45 miles. Meet at Central Park, Doylestown. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Bring yer bike & sense of adventure. Some days we'll ride familiar favorite routes, other days we'll scope out new routes. Today we'll ride to Brig O'Doon Coffee House in Ottsville (mile 21). Very scenic ride with lots and lots of rolling hills, particularly approaching Ottsville and on the return. Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace. Must be willing to ride safely & obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride if weather is iffy (rain cancels). RIDE STARTS @ 9:00 June-August. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the stresses of the workday, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride - relaxed pace. Meet in same parking lot as the "Multi-Level Conshohocken Rides". Start by riding on the Schuylkill River Trail, and/or, the Cross County Trail, which connects the Schuylkill with Plymouth Meeting . As riders get stronger, we can turn off the trails and explore some pretty roads in the area. Please bring lights in case we return close to dark. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Thu May 30, 2019 - Thursday Night Hill Ride

    Levels B: 15mph, B-/C+: 14mph, 25 -35 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. A moderately hilly ride conquering 3 Main Line hills that regroups at the top of each climb. As the days lengthen, so does the ride and we should be nearing 30 - 35 miles by July. No riders doing the listed pace will be dropped. 50% chance of rain between 6:00 and 8:00 cancels the ride Cue sheets will not be available. Two different paced groups: Simon will lead a B pace ride at 14.5 - 15.5 mph and Gene will lead the traditional pace at 13.5 -14.5 mph. Bike lights are highly recommended. Optional after-ride drinks at local beer gardens (bring ID & money). Cue sheets will not be available.

    Thu May 30, 2019 - Conshohocken Multi-Level Rides

    Levels A-/B+: 16.5-17.5mph, B/B-: 14.5-15.5mph, C+: 13-14mph, 20-30+ miles. Meet at Jacobs Engineering Parking Lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Meet at 5:45 for a prompt start. Note that there aren't any bathroom facilities. We offer 3 paces on a variety of routes on relatively lightly traveled roads. Most will have some hills. Distance will vary with the pace and available daylight. Please bring a rear light for use at dusk, and preferably a front light too. Will regroup as needed, but please be prepared to maintain the ride's advertised pace. Must also be willing to ride safely and obey traffic laws. Check day of the ride for possible changes or cancellations (rain cancels), and if a certain pace is not available. NOTE: START TIME IN SEPT. IS 5:45. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Fri May 31, 2019 - Friday Frolic w/Linda. This is the generic description. Specific details will be posted on daily calendar for each Friday.

    Level B-: 14mph, 45-50, +/- miles. Start location to be determined. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk, or snow activity. As long as we are enjoying outdoor exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing. Cue sheets will be available.
