This is an ad hoc SHOW AND GO city ride aimed at those who miss Philly's big, beautiful TWEED RIDES. We are hoping to see lots of classic old bikes, folding Bromptons, low rider bikes, neckties, skirts, leather jackets, saddle shoes, wicker baskets, plaid vests and etc. (i.e., bring your oldest bike and that outfit you never get to wear usually!) Inside the train station, we'll gather at the North Waiting Room of the station for a quick photo op before setting off. We have heard much about the advantages of wearing Lycra and going fast. This ride will do the opposite; we shall "start off slowly–and then ease up"! Ends at a pub, where there *may* be some SWAG awarded according to an inscrutable points system. (by Trophybikes, the people who brought you Trackstand Karaoke and the Great British Bike Weekend, ha)

The weather did not cooperate last week, so we'll try again! Let's head out to the Farmers' Market! Or get some great cheese at DiBruno's. Plenty of indoor seating to enjoy our snack,. We'll take Sedgeley up to the Park , across the Strawberry Mansion Bridge to Chamonix, then Bryn Mawr Ave to Highland and then the Merion Train Station. I'd like to give the train station pedestrian tunnel another try. Know that this requires our walking our bikes through the tunnel plus carrying them up and down about a dozen stairs. I'll be happy to assist you if needed, and I'm sure others well help also . Going under the tracks opens upa new section of Merion to tour plus allows us to avoid going up the narrow bridge on Bowden Ave. We'll find a nice scenic route back. Weather looking good at this point!
