BCP offers many regularly scheduled weekly rides. Occasionally, ad-hoc rides are announced. These rides are sent by email to all members of the BCP email list. To join this list, click here.     Sat September 25, 2021 - RIDE CLOSED Atlantic City

    Level D: 10mph, 75 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. This is a "D" pace but "B" distance over a flat route. End of the cycling season for some, so those some come ride the distance that you are capable of doing with all the cycling you have been doing all Summer. It is a straight shot to the Atlantic Ocean with a coffee stop in Haddon Heights, lunch in Hammonton and Pizza on the boardwalk. We will use a late afternoon or early evening NJTRANSIT train back to Philadelphia. This is an all day ride. May not be back to 30th Street Amtrak Station until 8pm. If KYW is reporting rain outside their studio one hour prior to start, ride cancels. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Sat September 25, 2021 - RIDE CLOSED Early Bird Ride to Coffee in Lansdale (ad-hoc ride)

    Level B/B-: 14.5-15mph, 60 +/- miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Assemble at 8:00. Leave at 8:05 SHARP! Ride through East Fairmount Park, East Falls, Roxborough, Mount Airy, Chestnut Hill, Wyndmoor, Ft. Washington, Ambler, Gywnyd, Lansdale, Plymouth Whitemarsh, Manayunk, Bala Cynwyd, etc. Many hills (approx. 2,500' elev. gain), but no killers. Will regroup as needed, but riders are expected to meet the advertised pace. At mile 32 or so, 35-minute coffee stop at Backyard Beans. Its all about the coffee! Cue sheets will not be available.

    Sat September 25, 2021 - CANCELLED Toss of the Dice 2.0

    Level C+: 14mph, 35-80 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 8:15 am. Various friendly rides per DAILY RIDE CALENDAR departing FROM THE PARKING ATTENDANT BOOTH at specified time and ranging 35-80 miles. We will regroup as needed, but riders are expected to ride group pace. Bring food or money for snack along the way, as well as a spare tube, tire irons and multi-tool. Check daily listing for route information. Ride may be cancelled up to 1 hour prior to departure time. Please be familiar with the Bicycle Club of Philadelphia Rider Guidelines for COVID-19 Mitigation, and bring a mask for the rest stop. Preregistration required.     Sun September 26, 2021 - Andalusia Historic House, Gardens and Arboretum (ad-hoc ride)

    Level D: 8mph, 30-35 miles. Meet at Kayuh Bicycles & Cafe 19th St. & Girard Ave. The ride leaves at 8:00 am. Ride to Andalusia Historic House, Gardens and Arboretum in far not east philly. This is a new ride for me. I plan on a 4 to 5-hours ride. I do not plan to be back to around 12. This is a D ride because it will be a slow ride, with rest stops. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Sun September 26, 2021 - Sunny Sunday D Ride

    Level D: 9-12mph, 12-24 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:00 pm. OWLS (Older, Wiser, Longer, Slower) paced ride through Fairmount Park and beyond. There might be a hill or two to help with endurance and conditioning. Depending on the group, there might be a short time spent on an essential bike skill. Please wear a helmet and mask (required by the club. Bring extra tube, sunscreen, water, $ for mid-ride snack. Cue sheets will not be available. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 12:00 pm.

    Sun September 26, 2021 - C Spin-off

    Levels C: 12mph, 35-50 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:15 pm. True C ride which cheerfully waits to regroup. Some climbing required. Covid restrictions in effect. Wear a mask for meet up and lunch or snack stop. No ride if rain or icy roads at start or 50 percent or more chance of rain during the ride. Pre-registration is not required but greatly preferred. It is optional, but you may preregister until Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 11:00 am.

    Mon September 27, 2021 - Tricycles - Spring Mill

    Level D: 10mph, 25 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. This will be one less hill to climb for our Monday morning coffee. Tricycles Bike Cafe will accomplish that goal but we still may need to climb Umbria St, not expecting the Manayunk Canal Tow Path to be open. If Main St in Manayunk hasn't been payed, we will take the Cynwyd Heritage Trail around the milled st. If KYW is reporting rain outside their studio one hour prior to start, ride cancels.     Tue September 28, 2021 - Ride Yer Bike Tuesday

    Levels A-/B+: 16-17mph, B-: 13.5-14.5mph, C+: 12-13mph, 35-50 miles. Start location to be determined. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Bring yer bike & sense of adventure. Sometimes we'll ride familiar routes, sometimes new ones. Expect good company on safe/low trafficked roads. Lunch stops may be sit down, takeout, or in a park (bring a sandwich/snack). Will regroup as needed, but must be able to maintain the posted pace. Must be willing to ride safely, obey traffic laws and follow: https://phillybikeclub.org/bcp_covid_19_rider_guidelines.pdf. Check day of the ride if weather is iffy - rain cancels, but will likely reschedule for Wed. NOTE: Ride starts @ 9:30 in Sept & 10:00 in Oct.     Level D: 10mph, 25 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Until Le Petit Mitron in Narberth opens next Tuesday, we are forced to cycle two more Mainline Stations west, Ardmore, PA to our favorite coffee stops, the Ardmore Farmers Market. How will we ever get back? If KYW is reporting rain outside their studio one hour prior to start, ride cancels. Cue sheets will not be available.     Level C- through D: 11mph, 28 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 9:00 am. Ride out via the SRT and Umbria. Enjoy a coffee and a pastry at Feine cafe in Conshohocken. Then return via River Road, SRT and Umbria. If KYW is reporting rain outside their studio one hour prior to start, ride cancels. Cue sheets will not be available. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 9:05 am.

    Wed September 29, 2021 - Flourtown Regular Season (A-/B+ and B)

    Levels A-/B+: 17-18mph, B: 15.5-16.5mph, 25-40 miles. Meet at Flourtown Shopping Center. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Please join us for rides in Montgomery and Bucks counties. Ride distance will vary based on available daylight. Both groups will use the same route, just at slightly different speeds. We will not drop anyone, but please be sure that you are capable of maintaining the advertised average speed including some hill climbing. We are planning to maintain a group size of no more than 15 riders per group. We will post the ride route in advance for you to download to your device. Please RSVP. Rain at start time, or wet roads will cancel the ride. Our goal is to be back by sunset, but a taillight and headlight are recommended both early and late in the season given the shorter amount of daylight. This ride is a joint BCP/SCU ride. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Thu September 30, 2021 - Thursday Morning Hill Ride in Reverse

    Level D: 10mph, 27 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Tim's doing a flat ride to the Ardmore Farmer's Market on Tuesday. But there is more than one way to skin a cat or to get to the Farmer's Market. Today, we'll take the hill route in reverse to get there, returning via Righter's Mill Road and West Laurel Hill Cemetary, If it is raining, I will cancel the ride by 9 AM. If the ride isn't canceled it's going. Cue sheets will not be available. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:10 am.
