Fri September 22, 2023 - RIDE CLOSED Friday Frolic w/Linda. Horsham Library to Yardley, with Springfield Lake
Level B-/C+: 13-14mph, 51 miles. Meet at Horsham Township Library. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. For 9/22: Pretty loop frm Horsham Library on Babylon Rd to the adorable town of Yardley, Bucks County. Outbound via Ivyland and Wrightstown, return via Holland and Churchville. Cross the Neshaminy Creek in both directions, as well as Springfield Lake in Churchville on the return. Optional rest stop opportunities at Mile 12 (Richboro) or Mile 17 (Wrightstown). Lunch in Yardley is at Mile 27 - choice of eateries - Wawa, pizza, etc. On the return, there is a bathroom stop at Mile 38, and another Wawa if needed at Mile 43. Total elevation gain 2109 ft, averaging a modest 41 ft/mile of climbing. GENERIC DESCRITION: Enjoy scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties -- Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, etc. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route -- terrain, mileage, rest stops, etc. Cue sheets and on-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk. As long as we are enjoying outdoor exercise, and Mother Nature, in the company of friends, we'll have a memorable outing. Cue sheets will be available. Level D: 8-10mph, 17 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Very social, relaxing ride to the Papper Trail Bike Coffee Shop in Rittenhouse Town, Wisahicon Park. Out the MLK DR, over the Wisahicon Park Trail and home on the Kelly Dr Bike trail. If KYW is reporting rain outside their studio one hour prior to start, ride cancels. Cue sheets will not be available.

Sat September 23, 2023 - SCU's End-of-Summer Century Event Ride
Level B-: 14mph, 33-100 miles. Meet at Our Lady of Chestohowa Shrine. The ride leaves at 7:00 am. SCU's annual showcase ride through lovely and peaceful Bucks and Hunterdon Counties. Fully supported and well-organized ride with four distance options - 33, 50, 62, and 100 miles. Scenic views of Lake Galena and green countryside and picturesque horse farms. Ride support includes: Pizza party at the finish, Baked goods, drinks and friendly SCU volunteers at three well-stocked rest stops, SAG support, Well-marked routes with arrows, Cue sheets, Online route maps and GPX files, and Ample, free parking at the start/finish. Levels B: 14-15mph, 35-80 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 8:30 am. Various friendly rides per DAILY RIDE CALENDAR departing FROM THE PARKING ATTENDANT BOOTH at specified time and ranging 35-80 miles. We will regroup as needed, but riders are expected to ride group pace. Bring food or money for snack along the way, as well as a spare tube, tire irons and multi-tool. Check daily listing for route information. Ride may be cancelled up to 1 hour prior to departure time. Pre-registration preferred. Cue sheets will not be available.

Sat September 23, 2023 - Phoenixville, PA
Levels D: 10mph, 50 miles. Meet at Cadence Cycle Shop 3740 Main St. Philadelphia , Pa 19127. The ride leaves at 9:00 am. It was a great visit to Phoenixville, PA by car with delicious pizza pie at Vecchia Nuova Wood-fired Neapolitan pies. There is a disire to go back by bicycle after picking up a detailed map of the Schuylkill River Trail, seeing Phoenixville right on the trail! That will be our destination for today's "D" ride. We will stop for coffee at Tricycles, potty stop at Betswood and lunch at Vecchia Nuova in Phoenixville. We should be back around 3pm. If KYW is reporting rain outside their studio, ride cancels. Note start location which makes this approximately 50 miles. If you start at the Art Museum, it becomes approximately 65 miles.Q-sheets will not be available. Cue sheets will not be available. Sun September 24, 2023 - Early Fall Ride Into Burlington and Camden Counties (ad-hoc ride)
Level D: 11.5mph, 27 miles. Meet at Rittenhouse Square - Southeast Entrance at corner of 18th St & Rittenhouse Sq. The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Travel up the Delaware River via the Delaware River Trail and the new extension of the K&T Trail. Cross the Delaware via the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge. After a break at Mart Pretzel (Wawa right across the road) we'll continue with a crossing of Pennsauken Creek at the newly refurbished Fork Landing Rd Bridge. Continuing on we cross into Camden County and head for the Merchantville Bike Path. The final stretch will be moving upriver along the Cooper River Trail towards our lunch at Zaffron Mediterranean Cuisine. Return to Philly will be via Patco Haddonfield station. Sun September 24, 2023 - Sunny Sunday D Ride
Level D: 9-12mph, 12-24 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:00 pm. OWLS (Older, Wiser, Longer, Slower) paced ride through Fairmount Park and beyond. Please wear helmet (required by the club.) Please bring extra tube and tools to fix a flat, water, sunscreen, and $ for mid-ride snack stop. There might be some hills to help with physical conditioning, but we will stop at the top to catch our breath. We might have some instructional sessions for a few minutes, if needed. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 12:00 pm.

Sun September 24, 2023 - Sunny Sunday C Spin-Off
Levels C: 12mph Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 12:15 pm. A true C ride, which cheerfully waits to regroup. Usually 25-35 miles with a lunch or snack stop. Meet at the Italian Fountain, near the gazebo at the azalea garden. We do not go on the Sunday of the Scenic Schuylkill Century (September 11 in 2022). It is optional, but you may preregister until Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 11:00 am.

Mon September 25, 2023 - Church of the Savoir (COS) Multi-Level Rides
Levels A through D: 8-20mph, 10-40 miles. Meet at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA. The ride leaves at 5:30 pm. The ride will depart from Church of the Savior, Wayne, PA at5:30 pm promptly. Ride Level: D thru AX This ride is cross listed with SCU. Please sign up here or there so that we can get a count of riders before we start. No cue sheets will be available but ride leaders generally post their routes on the SCU Meetup or the BCP website. We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.). Rain cancels the ride but look at Meetup for last minute updates when weather is questionable. It is optional, but you may preregister until Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 11:30 pm.

Wed September 27, 2023 - Mary Jo Birthday Ride (ad-hoc ride)
Level D: 10mph, 80 miles. Meet at 9th & Locust Sts, PATCO Highspeed Line. The ride leaves at 8:45 am. Wednesday, Sept. 27th We all have birthdays and the distances keep getting longer for our birthday rides. Mary Jo wants to cycle to Atlantic City, to the Boardwalk and if necessary, a few miles south to accomplish her goal of 80 miles. Return by NJTRANSIT Atlantic City line. We will meet 8:45 am at 9th and Locust Sts, PATCO Highspeed station to avoid carrying our bicycle down the three flights of stairs on the Ben Franklin Bridge. The route basically parallels the White Horse Pike using back roads. If you want to know the route to Atlantic City, come along! In order to facilitate the time needed for us OWLS riders, Older, Weiser, Longer, Slower to achieve Mary Jo's goal, we will not dillidali, we will pack a lunch, pb&j sandwiches are good. We will stop for coffee and water in Haddon Heights, NJ, Hammonton, NJ and a WAWA in Egg Harbor Township. We will catch the 6:54 pm train, arriving back to 30th Street Amtrak Station by 8:34 pm. Bring lights for your end ride from 30th Street. In the past, we have gotten hoagies to take away from White House Subs, and getting drinks at the Atlantic City train station to either eat while waiting for the train to depart or decreately eat on the train. I must emphasize, if KYW is reporting rain outside their studio one hour prior to start, the ride cancels! In the event of rain while cycling, there are many bailout points. Remember this is a HAPPY birthday ride not a cummungin ride. Cue sheets will not be available. Preregistration is required, please preregister by Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 9:00 am.
