Occasionally, ad-hoc rides are announced. These rides are sent by email to all members of the BCP email list. To join this list, click here.     Levels C: 12mph, D: 10mph, 100 miles. Meet at Italian Fountain behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 5:00 am. Don't miss the 25th running of the 23rd annual Italian Fountain Century. Odd numbered year means counter clockwise. Cash prize for slowest ride (must finish before midnight on 4/1 to qualify). Dizziness treatment by your own provider at your own expense.     Tue April 1, 2025 - Ride Yer Bike Tuesday

    Levels A-/B+: 16-17mph, B-: 14-15mph, C+: 13-14mph, C: 12-13mph, 44 miles. Meet at Mondauk Park. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. Bring yer bike & sense of adventure. Expect good company on safe/low trafficked roads. Lunch stops may be sit down, takeout, or in a park. Will regroup as needed, but must be able to ride the posted pace. Must be willing to ride safely & obey traffic laws. Please preregister so we can know how many to expect. Bathrooms available at all start locations. Check day of the ride if weather is iffy (rain cancels, but likely to reschedule for Wed.). Will make a call at least an hour prior to start time. NOTE: Ride starts at 9:30 in May & Sept., 9:00 June-Aug., and 10:00 in Oct. NOTE: 1st and 3rd Tues. start from UDHS, 2nd Tues. from Centre Sq.     Level C- through D: 10.5mph, 20-30 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. This is a generic description of the ride which will go to one of three destinations every Tuesday:GET Cafe in Narberth; Farmers’ Market in Ardmore or Spread Bagelry in Wynnewood. Some climbing of 800 to 1000 feet. First part of ride will generally mean a climb into Fairmount Park, across the Strawberry Mansion Bridge up to Chamounix. And then proceed up Bryn Mawr Avenue. and on to our final destination of Narberth, Ardmore or Wynnewood. On an ad hoc basis we may include new destinations and advance notice will be provided along with details. Always a fun group of friendly people so come on out! Cue sheets will not be available.     Level D: 10.5-11.5mph, 24 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. Do your “Non-Rain” Dance, and then come out at 10 for a ride up the Delaware River Trails for coffee and a giant pastry at Bread Crumbs Bakery. Return on Torresdale Bike Lane and, after a bunch of turns, we take the DRT south from Penn Treaty Park, and back to the start or to home, as you wish. Ride cancels if it’s raining at KYW (or at the leader’s house) an hour before the start. Watch this space around 9:00! Cue sheets will not be available.     Fri April 4, 2025 - Friday Frolic w/Linda. Hooray! Back on Two Wheels (NOT Three) Just in Time for Spring!

    Level C: 12mph, 35 miles. Meet at SEPTA Spring Mill Station Parking Lot Off of E. Hector St. in Conshohocken. The ride leaves at 9:30 am. For April 4: Easy, mostly flat ride on the Schuylkill River Trail and Chester Valley Trail, between Spring Mill and Wegman's in Exton. Stop at the mid-way point at Wegman's for coffee/snack. Leader is recovering from wrist fracture & surgery, so this ride will be a gentle progression from riding a recumbent trike to returning to two wheels. Route is an easy out-and-back on trails. Some mild elevation on the Chester Valley Trail, but no higher than 290 ft. Total elevation gain is 1120 ft, averaging 32 ft/mile - that's pretty tame. GENERIC DESCRIPTION: Scenic adventures by bike on most Fridays, throughout the year. Explore pretty, peaceful roads in suburban counties. Starting points will vary, so that we can cycle through different regions. Please check daily calendar for details of each Friday's route. Cue sheets and on-line route map provided for each ride. If weather conditions are not conducive to cycling, this ride may be replaced by a hike/walk.     Level C: 12mph, 25 miles. Meet at Azalea Garden's formal entrance, behind the Art Museum. The ride leaves at 1:00 pm. A true C ride on hills in Gladwyne, which cheerfully waits to regroup at the top of each of the hills climbed. Last time until Fall for the off season Thursday "C"vilized Hill ride - beginning April 8 we will start at 5:31, May-August at 6:01. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Hike Moderate Pace on Easy Trails, 5.3 miles. Meet at Rittenhouse Square - Southeast Entrance at corner of 18th St & Rittenhouse Sq. The hike leaves at 10:30 am. Walk to Spring Fest! at the Wagner Free Institute of Science. Flowers are blooming, pollinators are buzzing, and the days are getting longer. Join the Wagner Museum and our community partners, The Discovery Center, The Land Health Institute, and the Sanctuary Farm, in spotting the different signs of spring! Outside in the Wagner's yard, observe the shapes, sizes, and colors of different native flowers with The Land Health Institute. Then get an up-close look at a buzzing bee colony with Sanctuary Farm's real-life observation hive! In addition to observing, engage your creative skills by drawing animal-track patterns on fabric bandanas, pulling inspiration from animal tracks found in the Wagner's yard. The Wagner will have binoculars, magnifying glasses, natural identification guides, and friendly staff on hand to help visitors learn from the different natural resources in our yard. Inside the museum, see the colors of spring among our 100,000+ natural history specimens, including local birds like the Purple Martin, Yellow-winged Sparrow, and American Goldfinch.     Mon April 7, 2025 - COS Multi-Level Group Ride

    Level B: 15mph, varies miles. Meet at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 am. This weekly ride is scheduled on Mondays starting on April 7, 2025 and is scheduled to end on September 22, 2025. The ride will depart from Church of the Savior, Wayne, PA at 6:00 pm promptly. Ride Level: D thru A We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group ( rides at 8-10 mph pace for 15 miles ) up to our "A" group ( 18-20 mph up to 30-40 miles). All rides start 6pm sharp and finish at sunset ( the Hybrid group finishes at 7:30). This ride is cross listed with SCU. No need to pre-register but please sign up when you arrive at COS. No cue sheets will be available but ride leaders generally post their routes on the SCU Meetup or the BCP website. We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.).     Mon April 7, 2025 - Lancaster County Spring Ride

    , 32 miles. Meet at Bird-in Hand Family Inn. The event starts at 10:00 am. Join us for a friendly-paced early Spring ride through Lancaster County's gently rolling farmland as we follow a route for BCP's upcoming Cycling in PA Dutch Country Weekend, We'll start from the Bird-in-Hand Inn and ride over the Bitzer's Covered Bridge (mi 11), stop for a noon-time break in at the Village Cafe in Intercourse (mi 21), then on to Paradise (mi.24) and past the Strasburg Railroad (mi 28) on the return. The route avoids Blue Ball and Fertility. New riders are welcome. BCP requires all riders to wear helmets. Bring a tube in case of a flat. If we have enough riders we may split into slower (11 mph) and faster (13-14 mph) groups. The faster group might choose a slightly longer (44 mi.) route (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49321399 ).     Level D: 8mph, 12.4 miles. Meet at Rt 47 and Grove St. The ride leaves at 2:30 pm. We will be riding the Monroe Twp BikeWay. We will be meeting at Rt47 and Grove St in Glassboro. Please wear your helmet and water. The ride is followed by awesome food at the Monarch Diner just down the street from our meeting spot!     Level B: 15mph, varies miles. Meet at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 am. This weekly ride is scheduled on Mondays starting on April 7, 2025 and is scheduled to end on September 22, 2025. The ride will depart from Church of the Savior, Wayne, PA at 6:00 pm promptly. Ride Level: D thru A We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group ( rides at 8-10 mph pace for 15 miles ) up to our "A" group ( 18-20 mph up to 30-40 miles). All rides start 6pm sharp and finish at sunset ( the Hybrid group finishes at 7:30). This ride is cross listed with SCU. No need to pre-register but please sign up when you arrive at COS. No cue sheets will be available but ride leaders generally post their routes on the SCU Meetup or the BCP website. We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.).     Level C- through D: 10.5mph, 20-30 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. This is a generic description of the ride which will go to one of three destinations every Tuesday:GET Cafe in Narberth; Farmers’ Market in Ardmore or Spread Bagelry in Wynnewood. Some climbing of 800 to 1000 feet. First part of ride will generally mean a climb into Fairmount Park, across the Strawberry Mansion Bridge up to Chamounix. And then proceed up Bryn Mawr Avenue. and on to our final destination of Narberth, Ardmore or Wynnewood. Distance and pace will depend on the riders in our group. (Sunset time will also determine distance.) This ride is suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Enjoy pretty and peaceful roads in eastern Montgomery County, pedaling away the stresses of the workday. We usually take a brief rest break mid-ride, depending on distance.     Mon April 28, 2025 - COS Multi-Level Group Ride

    Level B: 15mph, varies miles. Meet at Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA. The ride leaves at 6:00 am. This weekly ride is scheduled on Mondays starting on April 7, 2025 and is scheduled to end on September 22, 2025. The ride will depart from Church of the Savior, Wayne, PA at 6:00 pm promptly. Ride Level: D thru A We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group ( rides at 8-10 mph pace for 15 miles ) up to our "A" group ( 18-20 mph up to 30-40 miles). All rides start 6pm sharp and finish at sunset ( the Hybrid group finishes at 7:30). This ride is cross listed with SCU. No need to pre-register but please sign up when you arrive at COS. No cue sheets will be available but ride leaders generally post their routes on the SCU Meetup or the BCP website. We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.). Rain cancels the ride but look at Meetup for last minute updates when weather is questionable.     Mon April 28, 2025 - Delightful, Delicious D (& D+/C-) Ride, Monday Evening Edition

    Level C- through D: 10-12.5mph, 15-29 miles. Meet at Upper Dublin High School. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Scheduled for most Monday evenings throughout summer, weather permitting. Gently paced, post-work evening ride to pedal away the day's stresses, suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity, relaxed, recovery ride. Cycle peaceful roads in Eastern Mont Co. Brief rest stop for quick snack/bathroom break half-way through. Planned mileage will depend on the length of evening daylight. Speed and distance will also depend on the riders in our group. Please bring lights in case we are delayed on our return. Toward the end of the season (mid-September), this ride will need to leave earlier (5:45 or 5:30pm), due to evening daylight ending earlier. Cue sheets will not be available.

    Tue April 29, 2025 - Tuesday Ride to Lower Merion- ARDMORE

    Level C- through D: 10.5mph, 20-30 miles. Meet at Cosmic Cafe, Lloyd Hall, # 1 Boathouse Row, Kelly Dr, East Fairmount Park . The ride leaves at 10:00 am. This is a generic description of the ride which will go to one of three destinations every Tuesday:GET Cafe in Narberth; Farmers’ Market in Ardmore or Spread Bagelry in Wynnewood. Some climbing of 800 to 1000 feet. First part of ride will generally mean a climb into Fairmount Park, across the Strawberry Mansion Bridge up to Chamounix. And then proceed up Bryn Mawr Avenue. and on to our final destination of Narberth, Ardmore or Wynnewood. On an ad hoc basis we may include new destinations and advance notice will be provided along with details. Always a fun group of friendly people so come on out! Cue sheets will not be available.

    Level C- through D: 9.5-11.5mph, 12-30 miles. Meet at Glenside Public Library parking lot. The ride leaves at 6:00 pm. Relaxed-pace evening rides on Tuesdays throughout summer. Distance and pace will depend on the riders in our group. (Sunset time will also determine distance.) This ride is suited for novice riders, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking a low-intensity recovery ride. Enjoy pretty and peaceful roads in eastern Montgomery County, pedaling away the stresses of the workday. We usually take a brief rest break mid-ride, depending on distance. Please bring water/Gatorade and a snack with you. Please also bring LIGHTS, in case we have a delay and are returning close to dark. Toward the end of summer (September), starting time will need to be pushed earlier to 5:45, then 5:30, due to earlier sunset.

Gently paced, post-work ride to pedal away stresses, suited for novices, newcomers to the area, and/or anyone seeking low-intensity recovery ride. Peaceful roads Eastern Montgomery Co, w/brief rest stop. Please bring lights. Preregistration (click on link to Preregister) saves you writing time at the start. Meet in parking lot of Flourtown Shop Ctr Bethlehem Pike (McDonald's in front, facing the Pike). In September, as evening daylight shortens, this ride will meet earlier (5:45, then, 5:30). Cue sheets will be available.
