Leader: Tim Carey, , 267-414-9037At Flat Rock Dam, lock 68 of the Schuykill Navigation, The Schuylkill Canal, or Schuylkill Navigation, was a system of interconnected canals and slack-water pools along the Schuylkill River in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, built as a commercial waterway in the early 19th-century. Chartered in 1815, the navigation opened in 1825, to provide transportation and water power. We pass by the water revitalization project on our bicycle rides to and from Chonchoken. This project is at the progress of dismantling the cofferdam and letting the waters flow through Lock 68 and flowing water into the Manayunk Canal. When this rehabilitation of Lock 68 is complete, this will be a magical sight to cycle along the canal with the flowing waters! We will cycle up and inspect the progress since it have been a close to two months since cycling to Conshohochen because of cold and muddy tow plath. We will take Umbria St back with a refreshment stop at Artesno Cafe.

Leader: Daniela Ascarelli, , 215-470-9783We are meeting at the Ben Franklin Bridge at 10am-- last minute plan change A bit unorthodox but how about a Monday ride to NJ? Let's meet at Cosmic and make our way to the Ben and hop on over to Haddon Heights and Trouble Brewing for a coffee stop and then back past the hospital and my favorite art piece--- the Black Panther-- and then over the Ben. Once we are back on the PA side, we can decide if we need to ride back to Cosmic as a group or if folks are comfortable making there way back to the Art Museum on their own.
